If you kill Brick instead of rescuing him, on a playthrough where you sided with militech, second conflict changes in that you will need to rescue Nancy (who is getting beaten instead of interviewing the head of malstrom) and fight your way out of Totentanz, with Patricia leading the gang against you.

You missed one of the coolest moments in the game!!! Dum Dum gives you his drug inhaler after he walks you out first time without conflict. To achieve be a Street kid, comment about drug, then take hit. Pay for BOT with eddies/clean hack card. This achieves Dum Dum walk out not conflict and you have moment. LOL this and DumDum telling you how he likes Samurai is reason I never got his weapon choom is NOVA. Inhaler will be in your inventory and it is obviously extremely rare. Only one in game

If you meet with Meredith but don't take the chip from her you can then still pay with your own money to get a peaceful solution, but at the end you will also meet Gilchrist without any soldiers by his side. He will tell V that Meredith paid for her mistake but the matter with the mole wasn't resolved and he wants to talk to Maelstrom about it or something like that.

I'd say the best outcome is when you take out Royce, and also Rescue Brick. We get to see Brick again in the 'Second Conflict' side quest where we have to go in search of Nancy to help us set up a concert for Johnny's one last performance with his old gang, the Samurais.

And that’s after the fact they dumbed down hacking, took out wall running, wall climbing, and other essential gameplay elements. The rumor was Keanu was never even supposed to play Johnny silverhand and he wasn’t even going to be a major character in the game. But when they saw the hype they got at E3 the people at the top got greedy and halted and redid development to rewrite the game to focus on Keanu and Johnny.

CDPR brought Quantic Labs to work as quality assurance, problem is quantic labs would be paid to find bugs, and indeed they found bugs, but QL set up internally quotas for bugs, and so they start to found some fairly benign bugs (sometimes bugs that act as bandaids, like some invisible walls and such) and pile up the devs with this small bugs, way to much for CDPR devs to fix in a reasonable time frame, wich probably was what lead CDPR to cut content, and quite possibly was cutting this content wich create a cascade effect on the game, not the addition of Keanu Reeves.

There's a 5th & 6th scenario where you enter in the building and if you have enough body you rip off one of those manless guns at the door and continue in then before you get to the elevator there is a staircase with Lazer detonators on them. You disable all of them and walk into the production floor and fight them as an intruder

We needed more quests like this. A different dialogue option leads to an entirely different storyline. Hell, it even influenced Second Conflict, which made the entire Samurai Reunion storyline the best side story in the game. Take "Dream On", for example. Great quest, right? An interesting take on political power that fits well into CP's narrative, but all outcomes are the same. The Peralezes still end up being brainwashed and although in some endings they are successful in the election, they're still controlled pawns. The only big side quest that did stem from the main story that had choice options was Sinnerman, which is why it was easily the second best side quest in the game.

The choices in Sinnerman are not all that great though. You either choose to kill and accept the contract/fail spectacularly/fail miserably/accept bribe and get out/make a little money/make a little more money. Either way its really nothing important because you can murder couple gang members, sell the weapons AND "making friends in high places" never does anything for you if you succed in the quest. I dont think any result of the quest is interesting - I went along fully with Joshua because I felt I will get most rewards that way BUT that SQ was really bad imo.

Another path to getting the No-Tell Motel scene with Meredith is to (at least the way I did it): (as a Streetkid) met with her, took the chip, didn't decrypt the chip (until long after the All Foods mission), started a fight by Ripping Off both of the automated turrets at the front door, killed everyone, saved Brick, walked out and Meredith had unique (and short) dialogue that sounded bad, but later she texted me and I got to go get that scene. So, possibly, the only two requirements for that scene are: Meet with Meredith & kill Royce (and sadly also Dum Dum as a byproduct).

If you are nomad and your levels high enough you can convince Jackie to tune his bike, if you're a street kid and you don't start shit with maelstrom you'll get Dum dums inhaler, If you kill Royce or give him the infected chip you'll have a chance to do something with Stout, if you are carpool you can tell militech that you know about the infected chip..

Forgot one option. You go in guns blazing. Trigger the mines on the door on the way in, and then immediately slaughter everything. I wouldn't recommend it for the rewards but it is by far the fastest option.

Doom Doom is my favorite weapon in the game and I don't have a perk point at all in handguns or anything. I'm a netrunner build, but DD is my gun when I get bored of Contagion. It absolutely rekts even with a silencer on it. (very hard as well)

Best pistol in the game? That's pushing it. Any tech weapon combined with Ping is far deadlier. My Quasar (non-iconic) has the same DPS as your "Doom doom". With the added bonus of going through 20m of walls.

@@justasktien7098 The DPS has that accounted for. The only advantage I suppose would be more chances to apply effects. But again, once you have essencially X-ray vision and the ability to pierce meters upon meters of walls, and also the fact that at this damage range a single headshot is enough to kill, the effects are irrelevant, and clip size becomes significantly more important. The Quasar is almost a SMG in that regard, with 20 bullets, while this one I think can only fire 3 times before reload is required. With the quasar I once finished a mission without moving. That's how much it can pierce.

To be fair, this is really the only quest with real options. At least to this extent. Most of the time it's, choose stealth/loud, lethal/non lethal or talk your way out. The guide book has about three flow charts for the events the actually matter. Spoiler, 90% of your dialog choices mean nothing

I side with Merideth Strout because tho i didnt do it the first couple of playthroughs because I didn't want any Corpo dealings when I found out she had it right Gilchrist was the mole and that he ends up killing her because she didn't prove it, I figured that was wrong and let her know (as Nomad) that Ghilchist was the mole. She lived, Ghilchrist died, life makes sense again. Saved Brick, got a pass at the Totentanz, (while the shootout with Patricia WAS more fun and I didn't get her legendary pistol).

I had an... interesting time with this one. First playthrough I went corpo, hacked the shard, just straight up shot Royce, blasted my way out of there and kept the creds. Meredith lived. Second playthrough I went street kid, did NOT hack the shard, paid with it and didn't warn Royce, he started giving me nonsense, so I blasted him, fought my way out, no Militech invading and Anthony was there to greet me instead. In both cases, I also saved Brick. Absolutely no idea how/why that happened.

I'm glad that your channel is getting the respect it deserves. The game is getting better but it needs a lot of love like Edge Runners. This game deserves full support and be as deep like this mission. Even few fixes here and there can make this game great. Cyberpunk must enjoy full support of CDPR and a second chance. It sold great, the game has a lot of potential, the game can be great. That being said, CDPR can redeem themselves supporting this game more by translating the whole thing to Unreal engine 5, update the buildings and expand the map. Building with explorable interiors, quests like Sherlock Holmes similar like Blade Runner and taller buildings of corporations will make this an epic ride. It will make a ton of money and help CDPR recover from their chasm with the game launch. This deserves more than one big update. It needs the police want system level. It can have a mode where advanced players with heavy builds will be at an expense of heavy unit battles and unexpected boss fights at any given moment. I hope that such game increases in complexity. CDPR can collaborate with other developers for flying vehicle traffic and activity on the rooftop of buildings. The parkour needs a revamp too and increase the depth of character customization. This game has a future.

There is another outcome that I have noticed. I play Nomad and have Body pumped to 6, but if you meet Meredeith, clean the chip, use the chip to pay Royce but then knock him out you will fight through maelstrom and at the end Anthony Gilchrist comes up to meet you. If you Found the evidence pointing out that he was the mole, he will say he will owe you and that he "always remembers who his friends are." Still playing through the game so haven't seen if there is a different reward outcome but havent seen much on that outcome. Usually when people get Gilchrist it is after fighting through Militech but in this case I have not had to.

I was hoping that there would be a way to finish the quest and keep Meredith's 10,000 eddies for yourself. It would be a nice boost to your funds at the start of the game. Don't think it's possible though.

It's kinda bugged atm, the way I got the money from the chip is to decrypt it after getting out of Whole Foods and calling Dex. If you already decrypted it, you can also go to "All Items" tab in a shop and sell and buy back the chip, you get it back encrypted iirc but I didn't try it.

@@ForcePF it is possible. Take the chip and keep it. Shoot Royce. In Act 2 wait until Stout contacts you (I've heard that hacking the chip before won't make her call you), play the encounter and then hack the chip.

Outside of the iconic melee, Meredith will send you a package with some Militech gear inside. I'm pretty sure if you wait until level 50 to open it you can get it as higher quality. I'll have to test this though.

...my issue with Malesttrom was that despite helping Brick i never saw him later on in the game. I believe the game bugged coze i read somewhere if you help him then exiting the building will end up talking to Meredith Stout while on my end there was a male cop talking to.

The male corpo guy shows up if betray Meredith and help the maelstrom. later on you can find her dead body in a river. Don’t just assume it’s bugged there are quite a few different options and combinations for this mission

Great Video! 😁👍 So on my playthrough so far, (first timer), I had the outcome where Royce is a boss at the end. After defeating him, Jackie says lets go and your prompted to leave. However I noticed Royce was still alive, merely unconscious. A quick pistol whip killed him for good and triggered me getting bounty and street cred plus his loot. I feel like this is super easy to miss and i didn't hear anything about it on here. 🤔 Thoughts?

I think the craziest part is the hack militrch. Tip off Royce and save brick to take on militrch. It’s crazy. The replay ability is all on takemura and dealing with maelstrom

Well, did you get the epic/purple jacket? It’s usually either/or. Same as with most quests having a container with gear that can com as either purple or orange. Not looting and re-loading a save next to the container changes the rarity at random.

Yes i believe epic but i just figured since im usually just a level 12 or so when im at that point it would never given me a ledgendary option.

The reason you saw it as a legendary is because I was level 50 during that playthrough (using mods). Theoretically you could level up to 35 before the mission since starting at that level is when the loot quality increases and you can get stuff to drop as legendary.

This is a hidden interaction and outcome. If you're a streetkid, comment on dum dum's inhaler when he offers it, don't attack Royce (let interaction timmer run out), don't even point a weapon at a single Malestrom, never meet Meredith, and pay cash... You walk out without a fight, dum dum gives you his inhaler for a one time use, you get a secret vedor that appears 48 hours later at the all foods, and you can still get dum dum's pistol in the later mission. You must be a streetkid to make all these things happen though and you must take a totally pacifist approach.

It is kinda weird though. First time I did this I knocked Royce out, killed the mealstrom, found the computer with the mole and saved brick.. Standing outside was the guy, the mole. Second time I did this, I Killed (shot) Royce, killed the mealstrom, found the computer with the mole and saved brick.. Standing outside was Meredith.. There was only 2 differences to my playstyle.. First time I was a Nomad and Knocked Royce out. Second time I was a streetkid and killed Royce. Both times I got his gun.. So it's weird that even though I found the mole and killed all mealstrom I still got that guy standing there.. Only as a streetkid I got Meredith.

So to max out meridith, you side with her, take out royce, and could you still hack the chip for the rewards and nomad find the mole before talking to her for the later rewards and fling romance, that meelee weapon basically trades off for the later game pistol

doom doom is good, but u cannot put a silencer on it for stealth kills. meanwhile, crash can have a silencer and you can upgrade it to do 1k per shot easily and crits and headshot damage makes it do 40-60k headshots. i defeated smasher in 4 shots.

Did you even watched 10 seconds of his vid? He is literally using Doom Doom with a Silencer. Doom Doom is by far the best Revolver in the game, acts like a shotgun but with perks from handguns. Probably also the best Gun in the game just because you can hit multiple targets and do a lot of damage.
