Well protected?? Is that is a joke? Hetzer have 20mm on sides and !8! on back! This is the worst example of "well" protected tank. In Poland war museum in Warsaw you can see a side hit Hetzer. Godbye my crew.
@flyingbusa34073 жыл бұрын
@@altair3232 Simple, you don't face the side and rear toward the enemy. You might be wondering, AT rifle can definitely penetrate it, especially the Soviet 14.5mm ones. Guess what? Panther have the same issues, and it has a 40mm side armor. 20mm is *just* enough to protect you from 50. Cals from longer ranges, not an AT weapon. Oh and... The fact that it's 1/3rd the weight of Panther makes the protection extremely nice for its weight, yeah?

I have been to Moscow a few times and have gotten to their Great Patriot War museum in Moscow and one time Kubinka, also one trip to St Petersburg, were I went to the artillery museums and defense museum that is more in the marking of, yet, I need to get to the Tank museums in Germany and France as well as England sometime. [Nephew of Ida] About the King Tiger: Imagine, you are a little front soldier enemy and such a Monster drives in your direction!! This tank is impressive till today. OMG! On the other side I hear ever again a fact: For the production of 1 King Tiger you could produce 9 smaller tanks. And the King Tiger was not the best Tank of WWII. The best Tank was the Panther. But the allies bombed the manufactures. And in the end the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS had no Gas anymore. German Tanks were drove with Gas [Benzin], Russian T34 with Diesel.
