Amazing to see the Famo Halftracks pulling the Tiger.

That’s the best footage of the new Tiger that I have seen so far. Interesting 🤔 I wonder where it is from

Three Famos towing a Tiger just as in 1942 or 43 ! Recovery would have been a nightmare for the maintainance crews.

@@fallschirmjager0000 I'm not challenging the accuracy of your statements, but I am curious about where you found the information on the performance of the Famo halftracks. My understanding is that the designation of "18 ton" for the vehicle indicates the maximum tractive force it should be expected to exert. I'm not sure how that value was computed, or what the rolling resistance of a disabled Tiger I would have been. Are you saying that pulling a disabled Tiger I requires less force than that? Also, when I read Tigers in the Mud by Otto Carius, I was left with the impression that for his unit at least, mechanical failures (especially in the transmission) took the Tigers out of action much more frequently than enemy fire. Have you read that book? If so, what was your impression?

that has to be a kit tiger. Those road wheels aren't even close and those exhaust louvers are huge. Looks like a henschel hull with the krupp turret lol

Does anyone know if or when will the Tiger be restored to full running condition? That would be awesome knowing that there's going to be 2 fully working Tigers. Awesome tanks!

Seeing that getting it to this point took years, I think it will take several years to be driving around.

We have a Sherman in my town on display. The silhouette is HUGE!! (two men) When you compare that to a STUG III or Jagdpanzer which is about the height of man, you can see why they took out so many Shermans.

Germany certainly knew how to build some of the best armored vehicles during WW2. Those huge halftracks were way bigger than the American versions and their tanks like the panther and tiger were the best on the battlefield. Ultimately though, the sheer numbers of Allied tanks on the battlefield as well as superior airpower with aircraft made for killing tanks made it much easier to take out the more formidable German armor. I would have loved to have been there to see all of these examples of German armored might and power.
