i am enjoying the series....one suggestion...you can use an awl or dental picks to push in between the teeth and also the indentations of the skull to give more detail. Warm up the dental pick or awl and press in the indentations

The eye socket trick is awesome. I tried my own but I used an old wet rag over the brushes and sponges. for me the rags let me push in more detail than a sponge. I also used a vacuum to help with the forming just use duct tape to tape up the seems so your mold can fit in the jug. Just don't heat the plastic till it's clear or the vacuum will cause blowouts and that's a pain to deal with. Thanks

A rag probably is the better idea. After awhile the sponges would melt too.

Great tutorial. Until I saw this, I had agreed with Alan Hopps (Stiltbeast Studios) who said "Not a fan... milk jug skulls produce a "skull-like object". But yours are great for a haunt environment. So, I've made 3 of these following your technique. None quite as good looking as yours yet. But I'm going to make a lot more for my graveyard. I need some to mount on posts and others for a bone pile. THANKS

Thanks! I tend agree. They are not the best when you need accuracy, but they can serve a purpose without spending a lot of money especially if you need lots of skulls.

"It takes some experimentation to find the right size sponges for the eyes" A good way to do this would be test with your buck before putting the milk jug on.
