Homemade Butter Pecan Ice Cream

Showing you step-by-step, how to make Butter Pecan Ice Cream from scratch!
Ingredients:
1 cup (250ml) whole milk
2 cups (500ml) heavy cream (or double cream)
pinch of salt
5-6 large egg yolks
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar (or substitute in part, or all, with light brown sugar)
1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Candied Pecans
1 cup pecan halves, whole or roughly chopped
3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1/4 tsp. sea salt
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar

I have been making ice cream for about a year now. This is the first time I ever made Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Your recipe is by far the best ice cream recipe I have ever used. So THATS how you make it!!! I have a donvier hand-mix ice cream maker and I only churned for 10 minutes and my ice cream didn't set. Now I know to churn until I get that creamy consistency. Thanks!

Made this recipe and it was very delicious. I liked using the ice bath to cool the custard instead of waiting for overnight in the fridge. Took about 15 minutes to cool the custard. This recipe makes bomb butter pecan. Thanks milkchocolatechik!

Very nicely done and I like the candied pecan idea better than just adding browned butter and brown sugar as in other recipes. Comes out just about the same but it's a combined step which will save time. Thanks, you got my sub :o)

Next time instead of granulated sugar try Splenda or a mixture of Splendor and granulated sugar . and I toast and salt my nuts . it tastes great and by the way love your video the ice cream looks so delicious. My biggest mistake was making my first ice cream from there I have been making ice cream every since hard to stay on a diet when you know how to whip up so many things at home

Looks wonderful. I'm going to try it,but use a sugar substitute. If you add two teaspoons of vodka it won't be as hard. I don't drink the stuff and was surprised to find many flavors of vodka. I use the cream flavored. 😘
