I will say after running a set up similar to this I don’t think I would even want to waste money buying a smaller engine drive welder like a bobcat 225. A Lincoln vantage or something equivalent would be nice to have on occasion but setting yourself up with a generator and a trans pocket and trans steel is the way to go in my opinion. I have an old SA200 I use on bigger jobs but most of the time it just sits now that I got my trans pocket.

Does the generator need to be a clean power generator.

@@chris_b_liven yes for the machines, I was under the impression that a inverter based machine needs a clean power generator.

@@maggitmaster I have a westinghouse 9500 I believe it was 23%thd and it does not run the fronius 2200. the lag time for the idle to jump up reboots the fronius thus not being able to weld.
