I was cracking up at your reaction to the older students. I keep saying that they're the bullies who've failed several grades and look like full-on adults when they finally get out of school.

This MV made me think that no couple's storylines are connected, that each couple's MVs exist in their own universe: KB + Yoojung in Universe #1, Junji + Rie in Universe #2, Mill + Nine in Universe #3, so a total of 3 universes, but all of the guys exist in all 3 universes, they're just different versions of themselves and lead different lives, and are still somehow connected to each other, like a soulmate kinda thing. To explain better what I mean, when Yoojung appeared in Junji's MV as a barista in a completely different café I thought maybe he found another job or works two jobs at the same time but I think that's a different Yoojung from Universe #2, so that'd be Yoojung #2, and him appearing here again means that's Yoojung #3 from Universe #3. I hope that makes sense somehow lol Oh, and I think the phonebooth, which has appeared in all MVs, is the connector/common object between all universes; I don't know why a phonebooth of all things though, it may have a deeper meaning that I haven't caught on yet. Oh and that reminds me, I just noticed this MV didn't have paper cranes in it at all and I don't know how to feel about it, aside from the phonebooth I was thinking the paper cranes were another connector but maybe not. Anyway I have no idea whether they're in high school or college here, they didn't say anything about in their reaction so I'm hoping they do in the behind the scenes, but either way the older bullies make me super confused lol. But maybe they're going for making the bullies look more imposing and powerful by making them look older, like, maybe Mill views them as adults as a way of coping with the situation because adults are often viewed as scary, and especially in countries like South Korea you're supposed to respect older people and even put them above yourself, and older people often use that to their advantage in sometimes very abusive ways. idk I might be reaching too much here, I'm just throwing theories into the wind hoping they find a wall to stick onto lol

Some people say all the couples' MVs are in separate universes, but they somehow know each other in all universes. Others say Mill and Nine's story is earlier in the timeline, and the others are years later. After all, JunJi and Rie weren't necessarily strangers when they met in Be Mine, it could be a case of seeing your old hs friend/crush after many years. The old bullies are so weird to me. Since OOO play around with tropes, I wonder if they cast them on purpose to make a joke about how "teenagers" keep being played by clearly older people in dramas?

I think they are in high school. They probably want to highlight the scariness of the bullies, so they look older. I feel the song fits perfectly with the anti-bully theme. I can't think of a slower or softer song for this theme. The MV is the surface-level "cute story", but the song represents Mill's true feelings. I think Nine's solo will clear everything up better. BTW, OnlyOneOf just announced a U.S. tour! Time to check out their perfect discography before seeing them in person! The behind videos of the be series are also very good if you'd like to learn about their personalities.

I'm also of the opinion that each pairing are in their own universes: Begin/Be Free, Be Mine/Because, and Beat/(Nine's). Btw, did you and Sandi see the description for the MV? It made my heart melt!

Mill confirmed on a live that the couples have their own dimension and are not exactly conected to each other, but on the interview they had for 17 Carat K-pop the members said that there are a lot of motif and simbolic things. Quote: [...]"the phone booth that shows up in the videos is the space on another dimension that connects us all. The phone booth is a motif, and the stories revolve around it." I could think that in each dimension the same people is living different struggles. For KyuJung couple Nine was just a stranger, with the JunRie couple KB was Junji's friend but didn't know Yoojung and with the Maknaes KB is a professor and the rest are friends. This being said, I think the Kyujung couple and MillNine couple do not coexist in the same universe so KB is not dating a student in MillNine reality.
