Love Kick Ass! John Romita Jr and J. Michael Straczynski's run on Amazing Spider-man came out at a time that I was thinking of quiting buying/reading comics because they were predictable then along comes this character , Morlun, and I genuinely thought Spidey was gonna die!

I illustrate Kid's Picture books, and one of the main bits of advice I give younger artists is "Think like a camera". John is absolutely right when he says "..artists who are worth a damn could be a director".

This is only my second episode but I’m so grateful to this series for getting some of the comic book legends to sit down for a talk. A very natural talk as well! Wolverine Enemy of the State still remains one of my favourite Wolverine comics of all time. My Wolverine tattoo is even based off the cover art on the trade paperback. Johns art fits so so well to your story telling.

Miller Time!!! I love this! I get to hear from comic creators! I needed this when I was a young artist in college! But I’m enjoying them now! Mr. Miller I’m waiting for you to appear in New York Cons!

I agree… the Romita’s are the greatest Spider-man artists. Such different styles too . I can’t wait to see what the next generation of Romita’s Spidey looks like

Great to hear this man talk, first time for me. My favorite era of comics was reading JMS Spider-Man with John's drawings. Seems like he's not only a great artist, but is also a funny and witty man. Thanks for all the good times.

Yet another fantastic chat Mister Millar. I know there are a lot of people who when thinking of great Daredevil runs, jump from Frank Miller to the 'Marvel Knights' relaunch(beginning with Kevin Smith, Joe Q and Jimmy P), but I put Anne Nocenti and JRJR's collaboration as my 1st equal favourite in Daredevil's publishing history. Thanks again for making my week doing this. Cheers from Dunedin, New Zealand!

These insights into the craft of making comics are fascinating The one thing that shines through is the creators love for what they do

JRJR is always a great interview! I started collecting DD right before the Born Again arc, and I thought his work with Nocenti and Williamson was on par with Miller’s run.

In my opinion ONLY , JR JR's .. " New Style" is like .. Half Jack Kirby , Half Frank Miller .. , his style is more " loose " , I suppose he is able to extract a more Dynamic feel to his art this way , & his story telling has Always been Great . .. BUT ... I prefer JR JR's early stuff , I love his First runs on Iron Man & Spider-Man that had a more " Classical " approach , which I like a lot better . .. BUT .. that's just me . JR JR is Still a Great Artist .

Congratulations on the move to Dark Horse Mister Millar! One question. Why isn’t Kickass in a tankobon format and that means black and white, like Sin City did with Dark Horse in the aughts? JRJR in black and white would be a profound development to manga readers.

I wouldn't be using Mel Gibson to make comparisons unless the person is anti Semitic.
