I woke up early to see that you posted a new podcast (adjusting back to Pacific time)- I’m the Californian who visited the mill and now back home watching the mill cast. Thank you so much for hosting the open house! I was so happy that my New England visit included seeing your mill. I’ve been following you from your mill cast beginning. We raised our family in New Hampshire (about 30 minutes from White River) and moved about the time you opened the mill. I miss the area so much. For all those followers who would love to visit the mill, please take Peggy and Amanda’s advice and plan a vacation to the area - there is so much to enjoy. I did all my favorite things - King Arthur Flour, Quechee Gorge hike, visit to Worthy Burger (South Royalton), Lake Sunapee (NH), Mt Kearsarge hike, Flying Goose Brew Pub and a visit to the best little fiber mill! Happy Trails Peggy and Amanda!

Love how everyone jumps in to fix your machines. I am sleeping on cotton sacks made into pillowcases by my grandmother who died in the 1960s. Very special making lady who made everything. Maybe you should bring a skein of making tracks to Stephen West when in Amsterdam.

I'm so thankful that I found you. I just watched how you met and cried through the whole piece. We homeschooled our two youngest and were blessed by the interaction and love of all the generations. I look forward to a visit soon. I just ordered some yarn and can't wait to feel the love that you put in it. ❤

I def want to listen to the feedsack podcast! My mother used to talk about how her mother would always make sure when they bought feed for the cattle or flour for the kitchen, she would get matching feed sacks so she would get enough material for a dress! At one time I still had a couple of old calico feed sacks! That is also where my family’s depression glass came from. It was given away for purchases. Grandma collected a specific pattern. I still have the glass. You definitely make me even more determined to visit Vermont some day

Another Californian here who hopes to someday visit your mill. I did make it over to Avenue Yarns in Albany, CA who does carry your yarn and bought more MT Lite. This time I chose Aurora Borialis - Wow what a color. I’m going to use it for a colorwork yoke. The sport weight is perfect for California’s weather. Amanda, your red Sophie Scarf is just the touch! Tres Chic😊 Peggy, have a fantastic trip. You won’t see this before you leave, but I was thinking that maybe you could bring a few skeins of your MT in both weights to Stephen and Penelope to show them how beautiful it is.

Fun episode and glad to hear about the new things happening in the mill. For Knit in Public Day, I was doing a yard sale and things were slow, so pulled out my knitting to work the 2nd i-cord on My Constant Companion bag. Because as we know, as soon as you sit down to focus on knitting, someone comes along to interrupt. :) And it worked. Good yard sale and got the i-cord done.
