Malik Scott has destroyed Deontay Wilder by trying to transform him to a boxer, it has him thinking too much instead of relying on his natural fighting instincts. Mark Breland was the best trainer for Deontay but he unwillingness to learn basic boxing fundamentals has caught up with him. And he is too small to compete with the superheavyweights in boxing today.

The coach/boxer relationship is about sharing the right connection. Boxing is a mental sport and yes Wilder believes in his trainer, Malik Scott. @@NewGoalsNewDreams He normally takes his time to either setup the right hand or just eventually finds the opportunity for the right hand, and he normally does this on the back foot, e.g. against Helenius, Szpilka, Duhaupas, etc. That's the best way for him to fight. Rarely do his knockouts come like in the Audley Harrison fight when he threw a barrage of punches from the opening bell. He only goes in guns blazing as soon as he has his opponent hurt. An aggressive style would be someone like Mike Tyson, who always fought on the front foot with combinations. The only thing that made the difference is this time he couldn't setup the right hand or find an opportunity for the right hand, because Parker is levels above him.

Wilder has natural strength…but he’s happy with just that. He’s older so now rather than making him a boxer…practice putting natural weight on him not that steroid water weight he had against Fury in fight 3. That was straight steroids and he gassed out. He blew up fast from the training videos to the fight. Myself being a weight lifter knows that putting up 300lbs for a few weeks will not put that much weight on you that fast. Start now before he has a fight;doing things to put natural weight to make him even more powerful. One of the big issues is he is too small…he can’t move as well as guys his weight to get out of the way of punches because he’s club footed in the ring and his feet have to be planted to land the right hand which will cause him to get knocked out if he gets caught. His legs cannot take heavyweight hits but his hits are made for heavyweights. Being powerful at 213 compared to being powerful at 220 natural is a complete difference. They’re satisfied with his God given ability and they’re not trying to to add to it to make him even more lethal. At this rate…defense, strong legs and more power should be their focus. Just like Foreman. Build what keeps you standing against the heavyweight hits and what knocks the heavyweights out. At this point that’s all he can do.
@thekingstable20410 ай бұрын
Why don’t y’all rematch Parker for your next match. It will make some money because Parker won and it might even go to a Trilogy if Wilder wins the second. Before y’all move on….try to get the dub back first. Easy money for both guys and it will also catapult Parker even more up the list.
