Wow i wasn't expecting that! A nice surprise as i've been an Eminem fan since i was about 10 years old haha. Being a millennial myself i saw him on TV quite a lot, and that's how i became a fan (although i'm from the late millennial era, 1995). This album was indeed very nostalgic, and something interesting that i don't think you noticed, is when we hear Slim Shady talking on the album, his voice was actually changed through AI to recreate the voice of vintage Slim Shady. I mean he's 51 now, so he can't do the same voice he used to do when he was half that age, and AI is a good tool for that immersion factor. And BTW you were wondering about the horse noises in Brand New Dance, it's because the song is about Christopher Reeve, who notoriously became paraplegic in a horse riding accident. Typical Slim Shady stuff really, and the song itself was recorded for his 2004 album "Encore", but he didn't put it in at the time, cause Chris died, and it would've been disrespectful. Oh man, I did not clock the AI Shady, that's such an a amazing detail! That's such a cool way to use AI. Wow, I notice some lyrics about Reeve here and there but didn't clock that song being about him. Thanks a tonne for those insights mate!
