Ahh millennials. If they would only forgo the avocado on toast and Starbucks, they’d be millionaires. The most swindled generation in history, we believed in the institutions, education, employment. What mugs we are. They system is broken, in its current state, it is inoperable. Gen Z are sorted, they have TikTok. Us millennials are the ones being left in the dirt. We were promised Disney and instead got a shit version of Disney. Enough is enough.

"Be a crab in the bucket" is the path we are pushed toward. I'm no crab in a bucket, I am a monkey in the jungle.

UK really got screwed by the planning act, and that started in 1947. You can still make a decent life in some other places. I think one of the big problems at the moment is you can always see how much better things are for the very top of the pile. the comparison makes things worse than they would otherwise be.

Know that feel. I'm in a similar boat with my stupid autism channel. That said: the day of the pillow can't happen soon enough.

What I'm going to say does not apply to genuinely exceptional and talented people with average or better ambition. The real secret of life is to maximize the return on minimum investment. Do well in school, not because you need the diploma, but so that you learn how to learn, learn to work smart instead of hard. This does not mean that there won't be periods in your life that you have to grind because it takes some effort to reach a point where you can earn a comfortable living for minimal effort but then you can spend the rest of your energy on things you enjoy. "Putting maximum effort for zero return" is stupid. If your efforts are focused on a project that has foreseeable growth and success, and there's a plan to reach it, then run it like a business, and we can evaluate the results when they come. But if you're an employee, you're having your life sucked away by capitalists. If your work is rewarded, then give them one tick on the dial, but otherwise, you're making someone else rich at the expense of your own life/happiness.

It started at the back end of Gen X. Probably in the mid 80's.

Dropped a like and a comment just because the video was presented in a nice way, especially for a channel of your size, and I hope this helps you grow since I had never seen your content at all, keep going =)

Hello my friend. The music I use is royalty free from a website called storyblocks, sadly it's not on any of the streaming sites or KZbin (I checked). I pay yearly to use the music without demonetising the content.

the important thing to know is that you aren’t given this advice out of malice but out of ignorance. this advice was true while they were NOT following it. now that so many HAVE followed it it is no longer true. supply and demand. most boomers didn’t go into higher education so it was a way to get ahead and above everyone else but now that most people do go into higher education it isn’t.

whats wrong with being average or normal. A4-life might be undervalued. And who are you to say that the greatest generation was the silent gen, the ones who fought WWII (and maybe also even the WWI)? So they were greater than any other before them and after them? This is a bit silly
@Jawesome1Shazam
@Jawesome1Shazam 25 күн бұрын
The greatest generation in WWII fought for a better world, came back after the war, and worked toward a better society for all, they knew how much it could suck and they gave the best to the boomers who squandered it. Hard work meant something back then, now it is meaningless because the Boomers were given so much and now that the greatest generation is mostly gone, they can act like they were/are just as big and tough without any of the humility. Now GenX is starting to do this acting like how they were raised makes them feral and thus they are better than everyone and "built different," when we're all just dumb monkeys to begin with. And we each have our own lives that are equally as complex with its own trials and tribulations that make us who are as individuals, so you "got lucky" and born in the "best generation" or are you just insecure about something you can't control?

Wanting what everyone else has got (and a little bit more just so you can feel superior) is the basic construct of middle class life. It breeds a narcissisic sense of superiority that is a fragile as angel hair. The economy is turning and these people are scared and vulnerable. It's why I find most people around me under the age of 60 so overwhelmingly unhappy! Keep up your channel!
