Would this be the same for a cp302?

My Miller CP-300 3 ph has an issue. The wire burns and turns red the moment it touches the metal even without pressing the gun trigger. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey man thanks for video I have a Lincoln cv-250 you think this haas kamp conversion will work on that unit I got?

I'm fairly confident it's possible. What's the serial number on the unit, I want to make sure I'm looking at the correct wiring diagram. I'll try and make a reasonable diagram for the conversion from the original. I would also suggest looking on practical machinist forum, Dave Kamp(of haas-kamp) is very active on there and he helped me tremendously. The only complication I see is that the cv 250 seems to be a little more electronic on the inside than my old unit.

I have a Miller MC300VS welder with a miller S54A Feeder. From the wiring diagrams it looks like the conversion would work. Can i get input from you about it i can send my millers wiring diagram if need be but it all looks the same

So I have Airco CV250 3 phase someone told me this may work for me are they the same ?
@wirestiresandfires2142 жыл бұрын
They are not the same, after some casual googling it looks like the airco is simpler in some ways as it has a 2 core transformer vs a 3 core in the miller. There are some posts on weldingweb and practical machinist. I would look for some posts where Dave Kamp chimes in, the guy really knows his stuff(he and a friend basically invented this conversion). weldingweb.com/vbb/threads/261721-Hass-Kamp-conversion-on-Airco-CV250 this link has some wiring diagrams that seem decent, but no real word on how well it worked. Good Luck!

Some powdered graphite might be good on the screw drive
@wirestiresandfires2144 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it turns buttery smooth now, but once I worked it back and forth it was certainly serviceable. A touch of graphite certainly wouldn't be any worse for the insides than the unavoidable grinding dust.

@@wirestiresandfires214 some molybdenum disulfide might be a better option. it's slippery like graphite, with much lower electrical conductivity.
