Miller High Life - Beer Review

This was the first beer I had, when I started my beer-drinking project in February, 1996. Actually, the beer goes back to 1855, but the new name was adopted in 1903.

Yep! Fredrick Miller Lager was the name before it was rebranded Miller High Life in 1903!

High Life is definitely a niche/cult beer. It has a huge, very loyal fanbase in the US. There are some beer snobs who would apparently rather drink gross craft beers that taste like thick bitter ashes... but they're idiots. High Life is, by far, the best summer, BBQ, hanging-out beer. Super refreshing, super delicious. Plus, as a bonus on top of all that, the artwork and bottle design is the best of any brand out there. The Champagne of Beers for life.

I've been saying for years, I can have one or two of thoss fancy triple hopped ales that taste like dog shit & tree bark, leaving my mouth begging for water, and my stomach balooned. But I can drink these delights, and other classic American macros all day long in the summer.

As an American I love this beer. I'm very picky about my beer and some of the macro breweries here in the states make some really trashy tasting piss water. But Miller High Life is just as you put it- simple, crisp and refreshing. I love my IPAs and stouts but when I'm in the mood for a simple lager to accompany a nice meal, High Life is always there.

Love High Life. It’s also The Dude’s main choice of suds in The Big Lebowski, so every time we went bowling in college the High Life was our sasparilla soda of choice as well

Miller Genuine Draft and Miller High Life are the exact same beer, Genuine Draft is cold filtered, and High Life is pasteurized, giving it a slightly sweeter milky kind of taste I always like to say. Anyway, High Life has always been my beer of choice, the classic champagne of beers, I will say that for some reason drinking it from a can is not nearly as good, and lots of people seem to agree. Good review 👍

Out of all the beer I would get on a budget or frat. I believe it would be this one and mgd in cans. Personally better than lite, Budweiser, blight, Coors, and Coors light. Oh and I forgot make love I mean... Michelob

The SWEETNESS is the Corn Syrup they put in it. Many of the American brews use that and Rice. The Rice is to bring up the protien that is lacking in the American grain. Why they use Corn Syrup I have no idea, maybe because they have a "SWEET TOOTH".
