Light duty low budget guy here who learns many useful things about rigging and geometry. I may not use 'em all but the more stuff ya know the less stuff ya break. Thanks for your videos!

Tom sounds like he has tried many different ways of towing & this is the best, for this equipment.. Even though this trash truck is old, he uses ways to do the least amount of further damage.. Very professional.. I'd like to see a tow video where some damage was necessary..

Ron Pratt of Midwest Towing makes excellent recovery videos, frequently featuring a Miller Rotator, the flagship if their fleet.

Nice work guys ! We use the same principle pulling with a 750 Holmes . Many times one cable pulling high off the booms to put the " scotch blocks " in the ground and the second cable directly off the mast pulling at more of a low angle . Works every time !

So do you not extend the outriggers because they are not designed to be scoped out and stressed in the forward/backward direction just up and down?

I always wanted to ask you heavy guys why you milk every recovery like it;'s all happening in ultra slow motion compared to light towing & recovery work I can roll up on an auto rollover and in 20 minutes I'm gone car is loaded and i'm cleaned up ..Meanwhile you guys have your winches on snail speed

For one thing...So they don't flip the wrecker with a sudden move. Dealing with a lot of weight.
