The fact that Millie was bullied in elementary school and now is a worldwide famous actress is absolutely incredible, she’s doing great as an actress and has a great future ahead of her, this movie was one of my favorites, I think she’ll be a great influence for younger generations and has a good chance of becoming one of the worlds best actresses. She’s a great, kind, genuine person, and seems so gentle and humble. She has a lot of followers and I’m so proud of her! It's nice to hear her response to the people who've been criticising her for those reasons I'm also 17 and only 2 months older than Millie. I haven't accepted the fact that I'M growing up, but it has been really cool to grow up along with her as well as the rest of younger cast from Stranger Things. I've heard so many of the people who can't accept that she's growing up making a lot of comments criticising her fashion choices and whatnot, which is completely unnecessary and rude, but It's cool she doesn't let it affect her. How do you just accept that you're growing up, though? I can't seem to accept it about myself, everything just seems so much safer and less stressful when you're younger

The truth is that there’s no way to wrap your mind around the fact that you’re growing up. One day you’ll find yourself avoiding groups of teenagers in public because you now see them and loud, embarrassing and obnoxious. You’ll then do a double take at your own reaction and realise in that moment, ‘Damn, I think I’m old now’. You’ll start to see kids you knew as babies graduate from university and start their own families - you’ll ask yourself how they grew up so quickly, then you’ll look in the mirror, ‘Damn, I’m getting old now too’. One day you’ll go to work and you’ll realise you’re not the youngest person in the team anymore, then a few years later you’ll realise the whole team is younger than you. You realise and accept that you’re growing up when it becomes impossible to deny that you’re not young anymore. There’s hundreds of little realisations that all culminate into acceptance that you’re not a kid anymore and that those days are forever gone. Enjoy being 17; you only get to be a kid once!

I don't understand it, either. She seems like a really cool, mature, humble and put together person to me! She's certainly more mature, level-headed, disciplined and driven then many people were( and are) at that age and she's certainly more mature than I ever was as a teenager. I wish I was like that when I was that age. I'm more like that now in my forties but she's had to grow up really fast because of the business that she's in.
