Honestly I’m so happy to see how far Niji has come with their comfort doing joke-flirting not just with the same gender members, and just how far they’ve been able to take the EN sphere’s comfort with guys & girls interacting in general. I find that kind of humor pretty funny personally and they always seem like they’re having fun, but initially it was only accepted with members of the same gender, and that’s always made me kinda sad as a gay person because it seems like the logic is “it’s ok if guys or girls joke-flirt among themselves because gay relationships aren’t real so it doesn’t pose a real threat” whereas people would kinda freak out if livers interacted or met with opposite gender members. I feel like there’s been a growth with that, and people are somewhat becoming more comfortable and hopefully realizing that gender doesn’t make the “threat” any more or less real, it’s mostly all for fun & jokes. And even if people did get together for real, there’s no reason you have to be single to be a good streamer/entertainer, so I hope one day we’ll progress to the point where we’re ok with that too

I agree to you tho I think for quite awhile now, no one really used the 'gay ships' to take advantage or play along with it. Many of them are just really comfortable with the same gender, and be joking as like homies and just really close friends. But I do agree that I'm so glad that we became more comfortable and normalized the opposite gender interactions more. I mean, niji has been like that and when Nijien adapted that too since luxiem debuted. For me, that's one of the many things that makes Niji special.
