I really appreciated the live scope view. I haven't gotten a bass boat just yet (this spring is my hope) so have never really been able to grasp what working a bait looks like on the scope and how fish really show up on the screen.

Been wire weighting a while and one thing to be careful of is building it all up at the top of hook. This creates a bulge the makes the hook gap smaller! Take your time on a shop day and make a bunch. Maybe even figure out exact weights for specific baits and make a bunch. It is more challenging to stack it around the shaft but I think it may help.

@Ben if you ever want to make those Shiners just taste 100 times better get a bowl of pickled queen olives that have been pitted and be are not stuffed squeeze lemon juice onto the olives and salt them. Usually 1 whole yellow lemon to 15 olives. I guarantee the taste profiles compliment each other so well. You can even add a couple of drops of tobacco for little kick.

It is lead wire which is used to get a lure to run deeper. You can also use a tungsten bell sinker with a split ring attached to a lure hanger.

Quick question. When you're throwing the line thru and you have one follow it close all the way back to the boat.....why do you keep rolling it the same speed or maybe speed it up a little. But you never pop it a couple times to make it look like the baitfish is getting scared and trying to flee and possibly get a reaction strike?? Especially in the last 15 feet when she's been following it close for the last 60 feet?!?! Not being a smartass either...
