Drive the nicest boat you can afford and are comfortable fishing from. Carry that boat on the best trailer you can. Have the best tires you can on that trailer. Pull the trailer and boat with the best vehicle you can for you and your family's comfort and safety. use the best rods and reels you can and outfit that boat with all the best equipment you can: motor, steering, floatation devices, and electronics. I can't afford many things, including ffs. This doesn't make my fishing any better or worse , I enjoy fishing on my used pontoon, with an old motor, three 12 volt batteries, and inexpensive new rods and reels alongside the yardsale rods and reels.

You talk a lot about the clear screen and clean power, but you have a ton of reflection from something on that left side in the water column. It’s likely from the jack plate or maybe you have something else installed on that left side?

I'm an electrician 21 years the harness being hooked directly to the battery is not giving them clear images that's just stupid the units have transformers in them that steps the voltage up or down to the exact voltage that the processer needs as long as you're getting 12 volts to the unit that is absolutely all you need. All so bigger wire is dumb as well look at a 5amp fuse these units take do you see the hair size wire in the fuse it's self HELLO
@deline8ed61910 ай бұрын
So your solution to anyone with clarity issues is??
@bekiller784710 ай бұрын
The wire size is more about voltage drop and high voltage battery will deliver higher volts because it's starts out at 16+ volts. The wire harness is probably shielded to reduce interference or noise from other devices.
@deline8ed61910 ай бұрын
@bekiller7847 Makes sense, thanks. Just trying to relax @trinity squashing Ben’s thoughts on trying to help us. And no, i’m not stupid, i know how sponsership or affiliate marketing works. Again, relax. Doing his job.
@yaboyslanders10 ай бұрын
I believe your theory, but have you ever tried and seen the difference. Math says your right but first hand experience says your wrong plus most units are able to handle 16 so 12v ain't enough
@user-xm8rf6ik7b10 ай бұрын
Lol 21 years huh . Then you should understand how to keep power clean as well as voltage drop ? Just because someone does something for 21 years doesn’t mean they know what they are doing . There are plenty resi ropers out there that can’t wire a VFD , MCC or just a basic relay cabinet .
