I lost my dad 4 months after I moved to Alaska. 2013. I'm expecting an OS 23 this July. I've been watching videos to get ready (I got the trailer and one track extension). He liked this sort of thing and so do I.

I have to admit, I didn't think you'd get all of that out of that log, but you sure pulled it off! Great job!

I've done the same many times. Those little winches pack a punch. Thanks for watching and commenting Richard.

Wow, that was impressive. You're obviously experienced with that mill. I would have to have drawn all that out on the log to figure out the yield. Nice work.

Good morning Jerry. I see the date of this is April 22. Earth day. My dad’s birthday 1933 . Lost him in 07. Things will never be the same

Good morning Terry. Isn't it something how something as simple as a date on a video brings back memories? I lost my step dad on 04/21/21. He was born in 1927 he had a great run. Lost my mom 4 days later. You're right it's never the same again. All my memories of my mom and my great step father of 50 years is all happy and story book like. Thanks for the discussion. I love talking about family history. Thank you Terry. I'm smiling this morning.

How much do you charge to mill a project like this one? Also price difference if you supplied the wood to mill this project? Thx
@BigelowWoodcraft2 жыл бұрын
I charge 55 dollars an hour if you bring me the log. If I cut one of my logs I use board foot price and that will very depending on species and market price.

@@BigelowWoodcraft thank you... I've been following you for a few weeks and just purchased a os27. Excited to start milling, I've got endless wood here in Maine. Thanks for the reply. Cheers

where Frontier OS27 is made?
@BigelowWoodcraft3 жыл бұрын
I am not sure where the components are made. I know some are made in china, where ever Briggs and Stratton are made not sure. I imagine outsourced all over. That's a good question. The parent company is Norwood in Canada.

Thank you David for the kind words. I'm in Western Michigan in a little town of Newaygo. I've heard of blood wood. It's not one that grows here. We are into winter here and my milling is slowing down for a couple months. You're going to love your mill. Keep me posted.
