this time we milled way more off the head and also replaced the stock carburetor. At the end of video there is a short test run of the motor.
The carburetor is from a 2 stroke bike motor kit there about $20
Dustin has put days of work in to opining up the ports with a Dermal to increase air flow through the engine. we will be putting this on a Agway riding mower that can shift on the fly with a odd belt clutch kinda like a CVT.
I am excited to see how fast this will go with a pulley swapped riding mower. The motor was just a small 6HP engine however it has been heavily modified.

Next time angle mill the head . Cut the valve pocket side way down and flip over and then spot face the bolt holes to run parallel. Then take the piston and angle mill the piston head on both sides as the piston rocks to clear the head. Then deck the top of the block. We ran .019" piston clearance as the piston rocks Run premium fuel

Can you explain your procedure more in depth please? I'm not catching what you are saying. Thanks.

@@cravenmoorehead5636 Mill the head down at an angle to increase compression the most. Take the valve pocket side down the most. The head now sits at an angle so the bolt holes are not parallel with the head surface so you flip the head over and spot face each bolt hole with a end mill so they will be once again square with the head's new angle. We surfaced the block so the piston now hits the head as it rocks at top dead center. By milling the piston at a angle on the center line of the wrist pin we in effect create a domed piston. When the piston reaches top dead center and rocks the two edges do not strike the head. We ran .020" clearance which is way tight. Run premium gasoline, takes up less volume going through intake
