We were passing through your neck of the woods and stopped to eat, when I saw somebody come in to the restaurant that sure looked a lot like you. A second look told me it wasn't you, though. Oh well. I'd have enjoyed the chance to say hi...

Why not just use a 90 degree V cutter?

Your work is perfection, but for practical purposes, is it necessary to surface grind it? Just thinking about those of us who don’t have a surface grinder.

Not at all - I just enjoy using my grinder.

Lee, Do you have any problem with this setup rotating when the endmill starts adding pressure at an angle. Are you using some kind of leg on the back to keep it from moving from the vibration and pressure of cutting.

I have the same question, I love this plate design, but are worried that the vise would not hold it steady enough . Maybe a thin v-block in the vise would add clamping force? Or maybe it's not a problem at all thank you Mr Lee for all your nice videos

You might want to check out Don Bailey at Suburban Tool. He is as good a grinder hand that there is and has lots of tips and tricks on his vids (A couple of thents is his typical performance) - Anyway he shows the proper way to side wheel by relieving the wheel. We do it here all the time but it's well worth the time to see him work. (There is NOTHING at all wrong with side wheeling, if you do it right BTW)
