Love the mix of Drum Corps and Show band with both lines. Those are the kinds of lines that I enjoy watching.

This is hilarious, NSU looks and sounds like a real D1 level college drumline mechanics and all, Hampton sloppy as hell and sound like a high school drumline.

Hampton has to learn how to play together. That was not good at all.
@krumpboiruthless10 жыл бұрын
Hampton needs dynamics to much going on in their cadences espically with the cymbals. especially and the fact that they're using so many different heads on drums. black Evans heads never sound good on drums where the lines are high-step style. to me black evans heads only work for lines that are DCI and lines that all have the black evans heads. but they're still a good line. MDFS gave it to them though
@chopzilla909 жыл бұрын
Black Evans work for showstyle lines. You just have to know what you're doing when tuning

+kavon oates I'm assuming that MD goes more for the melodic bass drum concept. They simply modulate downward according to the pitch of the last highest drum. The, "felt not heard" approach isn't of top priority because they are more focused on what makes musical sense with their material. Smacking a bass drum just for the concept of getting a few extra people to nod their heads to a common beat isn't what they're going for. They go for making people nod their heads to the grooves that they play while maintaining musical integrity. I'm not MD, so anyone who is, please feel free to confirm or correct anything I've said.

@@aswadmalik1740: Ed Ricks (who Dwight shouted out) is a MDFS legend who was instrumental in classic material that they play today. At the time of this video, I believe that he was an assistant director at Hampton.
