Great review. Hard to believe that this watch is as old as it is. If you want to pronounce the "A." in A. Lange & Söhne in the german way, pronounce it the same as the "a" in Lange. I hope this is understandable :)

Magnificent watch and great video full of content… Please show us more Lange watches! Maybe a deep dive into the early Lange 1?

I'll do a Lange 1 video in the future, sure.

Love the review. What a beautiful watch. Are you offering it for sale?
@TickTocking Жыл бұрын
It's on my site, but frankly at a price where I do not expect it to sell quickly. I'm happy to own it!

Burning rice paper as an enabler for getting the chain to work. Fascinating. Where is this information from? Never heard of it before.
@russell99610 ай бұрын
The rice paper for the chain is documented in the pour le Merite collection book written by Peter Chong with factory backing and given to owners of the original PLM - also available to buy separately.

I only review what I have on hand and haven't had a 5970 in a long time!

What an awesome watch and good to see you back! However, you did gloss over (or rather, failed to mention entirely) that the Lange factory did in fact continue to make watches under DDR rule, and after German reunification that factory continued as Glashütte Original, who make pretty nice watches in their own right (albeit perhaps not as special as Lange & Söhne). 😉 There are those who see GO as the original Lange & Söhne, although I see it as a seperate animal personally. Speaking of German high end watches, I would love to see a Lang & Heyne and Moritz Grossman on your channel! Which is also more in line with your focus on independents.🤗
