@@keyboarding5593 Yes, it's common but applies to all families, not just the wealthy. Let's be fair - working in finance has very little to do with day to day budgeting the way personal finance does. If he's halfway decent at his finance job, he could probably transfer a lot of the skills from there to his personal life easily, but if he's a financial analyst, for example, then he probably thinks in terms of forecasting various investment returns, choosing between projects for NPV (net present value) and possibly some tax consequences. Now, if he were a managerial accountant, he's have absolutely no excuse!

I live in the UK and there is legislation to help homeless people, but especially in London, the problem seems to still be really bad: A new law was passed by parliament in 2017. The Homelessness Reduction Act means that: -all homeless people will be able to get help from their council -councils must try to prevent people becoming homeless in the first place -families with children will still be housed by councils if that’s the best way to help them However, two-thirds of councils say they can’t afford to comply with these homelessness laws

In the Uk there are support systems and people can go to homeless shelters, and there are also food banks. I presume this is in London and there are food banks around London for homeless people to go to as well as places to stay for the night. Yes, there are limited amounts but there are places. The main problem is the number of homeless people on the streets. I don't know the exact number but the number of homeless people outweighs the number of spare beds massively.

It's ok to give money to homeless and they end up spending it on drugs, those with dependency can go into severe withdrawal and in some cases death, the issue is yes there needs to be more detox programs but until that can be established we shouldn't have the mindset of 'don't give them money they will just spend it on drugs' a lot of times they don't have that choice but to because there are physiological effects

Its so difficult to grasp these people dont want to do the drugs, but they do it anyway. Many people could live off of 120$ a day with paying rent, insurance, food etc but once the drugs take hold they cant. I hope they get them help to stop the drugs, so that way they can be freed from that sickness. Its a great first step, and why if I see a homeless person i offer them food instead of the money, 5-10$ on a meal rather than cash is going to be what helps them
