True, some folks employ hedging strategies or devote a portion of their portfolio to defensive assets that perform well during market downturns and such pointers are provided by engaging the services of market experts just like i did in 2019, amid rona-outbreak, and as of today, i can boost of a 45% enhancement on my $1m portfolio after acquiring assets recommended by my advisor.

The key is to have plenty of cash or margin to deploy at the depths of a crash. In 2007 I went to cash in my small trading account. My broker flipped out. Financiers were giving no money down, 0% ARM mortgages to anyone with an electric bill. This seemed like a bad idea to me, and I figured in 18-24 months, the first reset of the ARM would be up, and tons of marginal, leveraged people would default. I was right, and in Q4 of 2008 and Q1 of 2009 I bought $12,000 of San Disk, Ciena and Teradyne, and held them for 6X. Then I bought dividend stock for my upcoming retirement, some of which I still own. It's not a $M story, but it worked to make my retirement more comfortable.

Great show! What he was explaining about different sizes based on the quality of the set up, is exactly what I was struggling with. OMG I was winning more times than I was losing but couldn’t get ahead because I was using the same size on my entries which resulted in a lot of little wins but a few larger losses that slowly bled my account. Wish I had seen this video 4 weeks ago. Thanks so much.

Level 2 Means ... Level 2 market data is an order book that gives retail traders and institutional players a more detailed set of information about the traded asset. Unlike the level 1 order book that shows the last bid prices and ask prices, level 2 shows the complete list of bid and ask the market maker who placed the order, and the quantities (the size of the order).

Really excellent interview. I will certainly watch many more. Like they say, to really succeed at this you must really love markets and trading. There is no way I could explain the countless thousands of hours of hard work I put into learning, reading, writing software, but mostly into many thousands of trades, learning with real money, yes even making every mistake in the book along the way. But now I make far fewer mistakes, and finally reached a very lucrative and comfortable position in my trading. It's funny how it is such a struggle at first, or even for years, but then finally you can break through to real success and making very good money almost daily comes easily.
