Larry Johnson might not deserve to be on this list. I wanna say I heard a story where either Larry's ex-wife or one of his babymamas claimed that he actually wasn't broke. She claimed that he allegedly hid $20 million and claimed bankruptcy so she couldn't go after his finances or assets.

What’s crazy is that Baker, Rice, Kemp, LJ, Antoine and Spreewell were stars and all-stars of the 90’s early 00’s in their primes. In today’s NBA money they would be max contract players easily which means $150-250 million extensions?

Mookie Blaylock isn’t talked about as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history and it’s not “thankful” he only served three years for killing a mother of five.

Watch 30 for 30 BROKE Dear newly rich dude. Here's how you roll ... -Forget ego and showing off, and stay away from women and spending -Rent an apartment and get a cheap car, cook at home -Keep all your money in the bank It's either this or go 100% broke

Friends, agents, financial advisors, and 304's are the prime reasons it seems. It would be best to invest in a financial management course and negotiate/handle your money yourself.

The numbers they lost should be put into context. A huge chunk of their contracts prob more than half went to IRS. So for example as incredulous as it seems to lose 10mil, they prob only had 5 mil to start with.

Also whats worth mentioning is that some of these players had $100 million in the 90s. $100 million in 1995 for example is worth $200 million in todays money. So no, they were still ridiculously wealthy given the value of money at the time.
