@@paulthompson1466 Actually I believe this is one of the few occasions when 50/50 helped. He was unsure between CO2 and Nitrogen... 50/50 removed Nitrogen so that should have settled it. But for some reason he still wasn't happy and used another lifeline. Usually the way it goes is the contestant says "I think it's either A or B" and 50/50 removes C and D!

But to me it just seemed like whatever the outcome of the 50/50 Jimmy was going to use his last lifeline anyway. I've never agreed with the idea that 50/50 eliminates answers based on what the contestant says. I definitely don't think that's the case and nor do I think it's random, but is pre-decided that the two most unlikely answers are removed. Contestants will likely deliberate between the two most likely answers which makes it seem that it's fixed when the two most unlikely are removed.

I’m from donny like Clarkson is so i knew this one. But I also remember him mentioning this fact in the train race episode of Top Gear. He mentions the Mallard being the fastest steam train ever when his train is passing through Doncaster. Blue house in our school was also named Mallard house.

Other than the Rocket being incredibly old, the Flying Scotsman is a route (with a Gresley designed locomotive getting its name from the route) and the Brighton Belle being a. electric b. on the *Brighton* line... you had the fact that Jeremy Clarkson mentioned the Mallard multiple times on Top Gear.

Ok. 4 months later i have had a thought about all of this. Sure, Jimmy could be connected, but.... What if this show was recorded after that horrific day last year? So like half way in between that day last year and today, which happens to be exactly a year later..... What if it would have happened that way, and Jimmy would have said that he was going to give all of this money to charity, more specifically UNRWA? I would have loved to hear the reaction of people in the audience or even the reaction of Jeremy. It would be gold.
