The PB Swiss ratchet driver is the best driver I have ever used hands down, I do like the Wera drivers and will still have several for the helpers and the various tool bags. The ability to have additional bits in a driver and a better selection combined with the sheer quality of Swiss made is just a match I absolutely enjoy using, Be sure to check out www.toollady.com and see all they have to offer!

Have the Wera, Stahlwille and Facom then got the PB, absolutely no contest. The PB Swiss is different class, zero shaft wobble which is amazing on a rachet driver and like you say the extra bit storage and the magnet. 10/10 but eye wateringly expensive!

I thought of getting the pb swiss, but instead I opted for the one I got at work: the berner megapro 14-in-1 (old version). It may not be ratcheting or have a removable bitholder like the wera kraftform, but it's got 7 double-ended bits in the handle, meaning you get 14 sizes. Torx, flat, pozi and philips. Don't care much for the flatheads, but the torx bits are essentials and even the pozis and philips, each sized 1 to 3, get used more often than I expected. You should check and maybe even try it out, if you can 😉
@MillisConstruction
@MillisConstruction 2 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard great things about the mega pro but aren’t they proprietary bits, as in none but theirs will replace any in the driver? You mess up a tip or lose one? I had that issue with a couple Klein drivers I had and it made me a bit allergic to ones that won’t take off the rack bit types
@Kleiner_Lutz
@Kleiner_Lutz 2 жыл бұрын
@@MillisConstruction unfortunately yes. The double ended construction makes them not fit in other driver handles, also regular 1/4 inch bit would fit in the megapro, but would just slide back and not be usable. That's a huge disadvantage, as a matter of fact I got an unusable megapro in my work car that I inherited from a coworker that's missing most of the bits so I can't use it. But just the amount of different bits you get without having to carry an extra bit kit makes that up for me

I've got a Wera ratcheting stubby (I love it like a puppy), I've got the Wera chiseltip set, and the lasercut set on the way. I have a PB Swiss 6 way precision screwdriver that I love. I want that PB Swiss you have there soooo bad. At least of a day or so ago, you just can't get the 100mm size very many places. Toolhaus or someone has it for like 80 or 90 USD, I'm not ready to reach that high especially when the Wera up there is about half the price. But, I am holding out (at least for now) for the PB Swiss. Hey, if you talk to the toollady I bet you could get a few of us to commit to a group buy or something. But then again, if they aren't available they aren't available.

@@MillisConstruction Hi, That sounds like a good reason not to. However as with anything, it’s all in the presentation. If a potential employee told you in their job interview that they killed someone, you might be surprised. You might consider that a dealbreaker and no way am I hiring this guy. If they explained their family was the victim of a home invasion robbery thing and that’s when they ended up killing someone, defending their family, now you might think that sounds reasonable or even a good idea. For this, I would not say you have a KZbin channel and you make tool videos, as a side hustle, etc. I would say you are putting together a series of instructional/ educational videos that you plan on putting on your Millie Construction KZbin channel and if you get enough demonstrations you might put together a DVD series or something like that - It doesn’t matter if you ever do. You are just trying to help out new guys and pay-it-forward for others who might not even be in the same city. Then ask (owners, management, etc.) if they want to help out. Specify that these will not be videos about the hotels or their property, just on maintenance jobs and the tools involved. They might want to participate. If they say no thanks, that’s fine too. Nothing has happened yet, you were just running the idea by them. On a related note (assuming you get permission), you might want to have a basic contract drawn up OFFICIALLY giving you permission to record and FULL ownership of the videos.
