80ms is the time it takes for the brain to process visual and audio signals, so technically we are living 80ms in the past, so I just had to come find out how long in the past I'm living. Thanks for the upload!

@@toobasicbot2000 I dont know what andrew is referencing to, but predictive mind theory kind of touches that idea. Living 80ms in the past sounds kind a weird, it seems to be more like that sensory information from outside world is received in 80ms in the brain (I dont know if 80ms is correct or not, but surely there is some delay since signals dont just instantly travel to brain from your finger for example) Feldman Barrett's book "How emotions are made" is a great book about this idea.

@@zacsampson9447 Doesn't really matter if you're playing most single-player games. Your brain will adjust to when you press the controller and when your character on the screen responds. Actually really helpful for music... Was looking at the latency of the Waves Plugins I use through Sound Grid, and was finding that some of my racks were getting up to a total of 240 samples of latency (about 5 ms in our system) per rack. It's not great and zero latency would be better, but I wasn't sure how bad that was, but after listening to this and barely hearing the second pop starting after 9.8 ms, I was like, yeah, I'm okay. There's no problem with this. Thanks for posting this. Helped solve an issue I was working on today.

The fact that you can hear two separate, distinct clicks at 15.1ms is astounding. (as opposed to being able to tell that there are two right at 5.1, 15.1 they become separate sounds)

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND (Paragraphs) General Understanding--> Game Action--> Reaction--> Music Please "Like" my comment so others can see this explanation if they need it, as well! "The amount of time between the first and second pops = the number on the screen. So when 25.0 pops up, you will hear a pop. it means that there is a 25 millisecond delay between the first pop and the time the second pop is heard." -Justin Gabrial (in a subcomment) Imagine the first tick you hear is you clicking your mouse and the second tick you hear is how long it takes for the game to process your action. If you're at 20ms vs 100ms, makes a big difference. If you're thinking about reaction times, say the first tick is the instant something happens and the second tick is how long it takes you to react to it. I actually have no idea how this is meant for music but I have a suggested video on the side called "David Gilmour's delay sounds" which I think should help you.

If you think you have a better explanation then give your explanation, too, because everybody learns differently and no one way is right or wrong.
