Spot on again! I can see the Honeyman selection against top teams where we need to be tight defensively. But against Oxford, Coventry and the like, we need a more attacking#10.

It’s bizarre that we find ourselves in this position given that we were on a nine game unbeaten run. There is an atmosphere around the club it would seem. Harris must be able to see though that the fans were right behind him and the team when they were putting that run together and beating the likes of Leeds and Burnley. The players were at it in those games. Harris could have started yesterday with a 442 and taken the initiative but he didn’t. If he wants the players to go for it, he has to demonstrate that he is prepared to chance his arm as well. Oxford and Coventry were there for the taking but Harris set up conservatively. That is where Millwall fans derive their frustration. The formation is primarily defensive, fine if you’re away or against the better teams but not at home to poor teams. He also needs to set aside some of his reservations about the younger players and give them the minutes to prove him wrong. Emakhu has pace and he is direct. He might only have to beat a man once in a game to open up that defence in open play. Harris works for Millwall, he isn’t bigger than the club. Given the level of injuries we have the fans would forgive him for changing things up and starting with Emakhu and two up front. If it works fine, if it doesn’t well our levels have dropped off anyway and we’d be no worse off. Come on Harris, sort it out and COYL.

I agree with you Chris certain elements of the fans base want Harris out no matter what especially when we lose a game and you only have to look on face book at the key board warriors to know that. Do I think we were good enough yesterday no I don’t. For me the midfield looks lacklustre and tired and a couple of times I thought the wind was going to knock Savile over, but Savs has been good for us this season and just needs a rest. My biggest gripe I thought Honeyman was poor yesterday. Honeyman got into three excellent attacking positions in three consecutive moves and his poor passing let him down every time. I think Emarku deserves more game time going on the minutes he played against Sunderland and Coventry he looks a different player now and has got rid of the diving from his game. I would also like to see Ezees go down the wing and cross with his right foot sometimes instead of cutting inside onto his left. And yes having four key players out showed the lack of quality in the team.

Spot on. I love Harris and think a lot of his management abilities are underrated. But I am of the opinion that the direction Gallen and the Board want to go and the Harris current vision do not align. Last week I mentioned that I disagreed that he deserved a new deal and i maintain that. Whole club should thank him for keeping us up and steadying the ship, but both parties need a new direction end of season. Also he has the right to call people "thick", can't believe how soft people are
@JonnyMillwall91Ай бұрын
Chris if I can say one thing, is we need wingers that can run at players, put the ball into the box, an attacking midfielder that can feed two up-top, and we will score goals with the strikers we have. We have the defence but can strengthen that in another CB. But this one up top and no one to create the chances for them to score is terrible
@chatwithchapsАй бұрын
spot on - need to address this in Jan mate!
@IanBarrett-rw2eeАй бұрын
The reason we don't score a lot is we don't play the forwards in, mid field and defenders are our main goal scorers, we need 2 strikers up front from the start not the last 20 mins.we played 442 second half against Sunderland and had 73% possession and equalised
@johnpruden794Ай бұрын
Great video, only gonna end one way Chris, a manager can not call the fans thick, but I agree far more worse than that he keeps having a pop at some of the players,( young ones)
@DavidHilson-g4bАй бұрын
Great summary/analysis as always. Another worrying stat is if we concede the first goal we don’t win. It’s been over 2 years since that last happened! I don’t agree that Harris is under appreciated. Vast majority would agree that he saved us last season but maybe just frustrated with team selection, formation and lack of tactical awareness resulting in too many poor performances. I do think we lack quality, not only on the pitch but also with the manager himself and his coaching staff. With the resources we have available we’re doing ok, it’s just not that great to watch.

Ironically, these negative tactics might work against Sheff Utd like Leeds and Burnley where we outfought them backed by the crowd. OF COURSE, the crowd is flat NOT repeat NOT because of the results because of the disappointment/frustration at the negativity with 8 goals in these 10 games and v Sunderland all our strikers were fit, at last, and even though Sunderland had 5 regulars he, still played 1 up with Honeyman behind and SHOCK HORROR: NO efforts, just like v Watford first game when we were 0/2 until he brought on the forwards and we were unlucky, thereafter. We dominated Sunderland with our forwards on then the Oxford debacle of sitting on the 1/0 and STILL he put out a negative team v Coventry and again =same outcome.

Agree Chaps. Excellent post match. I can see why Neil only signed a short cotract. He said he would come back if John Berylson needed him. JB jr is a different prospect. Kenny Jacket only signed a season at a time as he thought that was fair for both parties. Neil probably took that scenario and in my opinion he wants the best for Millwall. From what i saw the substitutions were getting ready prior the goal. I believe this a minor blip and we will come good. I think Emakhu has a future at the club, but probably needs to work on defensive duties under a NH team. Just look at how he has managed Esse and what arounded okayer he has become this season. On another nte i thought Murray Wallace did well in the makes shift defence. From what i have experienced the Harris critics are in a minority.

Another great review Chris 👍 not sure I agree Coventry deserved to win based on a 15 minute weather assisted part of the game. Plus that was 100% a goal and would’ve made a huge difference. A totally decimated Millwall team with a few selections certainly not impressing. Amazing how quickly things can change not helped by Bomber clearly being rattled by fans opinions! Time to regroup and pull together!

Harris is right one defeat in 10 games and fans are calling for him to be sacked proper head loss We had a so called good manager in Edwards and look where he got us Yes we didn’t play well yesterday but you can’t play well every game with a makeshift team Nothing wrong with 1-0 wins come January we definitely need another playmaker another No.10 & 2 decent Centre backs at least
@trevorrymer9010Ай бұрын
Good review Chris, is Harris a legend yes, is he the manager to take us forward, no. We have the same back room coaches we’ve had for years. Until that changes we will see the same old formations, same ideas, and stubbornness. Yes we are missing 3 or 4 key players but that just highlights our squad is still not strong enough. Our midfield has zero creativity and one up top isn’t going to score us goals to win games. Unfortunately Harris is now blaming his team instead of taking responsibility. Oxford was poor, Coventry was poor. Football is about opinions and we as paying customers are entitled to voice them. Let’s see what the January transfer window holds but having a manager whose contract expires in the summer and who is turning on the fans isn’t going to benefit anyone.

Honeymoon presses the centre half’s snd plays on the defending centrehalfs shoulder, forces mistakes I get what he’s there to do also Chris that’s my opinion. the game in the cup against Pompey when he forced the mistake from the defender won the ball and Esse scored from it that’s his role chasing down and taking that role of the lone forward .
@Binns57Ай бұрын
We have been getting away with it lately. 8 goals in 11 is poor. Zero creativity again.

The referee and lines man on Dockers side where terrible. If Harris need a cuddle then he in the wrong jod as for last season he done great but fuxc the cuddles. We could have won that game but no fight in us as a team, no shots on target seriously wake up hit the target make the keeper have to save. The referee stiched us up good and proper. MILLLLLLLL
@philgolder7939Ай бұрын
A serbian international not good enough for Millwall? Lack of goals. Is that down to one man up front? Harris done a great job last year but accept that he is a lower championship or div 1 Orr 2 manager. Which was where he was when we got him back.

I agree Femi did well. Frustrating result but ultimately we’ve only lost by a single goal. Players are clearly behind Harris. ‘Thicko’? Haha. Get over it. ❄️

I appreciate your opinion, but im afraid i have to disagree when it comes to harris you cant call the people who pay your wages thick because you dont agree, even if we are millwall fans and throwing young players under the bus is disgraceful if i was berlyson and the business i own and lets face it thats what it is and your representative is calling customers who support the club with there hard earned wages thick i would get rid straight away. Harris did a good job keeping us up, but he needs to learn to admit when he makes mistakes instead of excuses like against oxford he is stubborn. As far as emaku goes, he may not be good defensively but play him from the start and try going in front, then go defensive if we are two up instead of always chasing the game thats my opinion
@chatwithchapsАй бұрын
Can't argue with any of what you said mate - Only point would be I didn't take it as he called all of the fan base thickos, just a section who can't see we wont be the same side without our 3 best players. However, NOONE is bigger than the club
@stephens4542Ай бұрын
I think you are being a bit kind on NH, his biggest problem is and has always been its always someone else's fault. You are right he is stubborn, Honeyman in the 10 is his mistake, no one elses, and as you point out the way he talks about young players is not good
@B_Lion.Ай бұрын
I love the content Chaps but i disagree on this one. Millwall FC is literally one of the only companies in the world who thinks it ok to call their paying customers things like thicko or racist. 🤦🏻♂️🤣 im not offended but im not paying to be called names because of a valid opinion either. Anyone whos ever played football at any level will point out hes costing us points. Moaning about players who can clearly do better if he ALLOWS them too.
@IsleofskyeАй бұрын
Actually there used to be another one. lol Bookmaker Barry Dennis R.I.P. used to, deliberately, annoy and insult some of his punters so they hated him sand wanted to take his money so gave him all the "Business" that he wanted with the odds as an On Course Bookmaker in his favour and it worked. Some Punters did not want to take money off Bookmakers they liked. lol
@SteveErnie95Ай бұрын
Great show mate, I’m a big Harris fan and if it makes me a thicko because I expect effort from the side, knew it wasn’t going to be easy with players missing but to not have a shot on target the whole game is really poor. To also signal out the young players about positioning when it’s the whole team, Too many times they are too static waiting for the ball to be passed to them rather than make runs behind defence. Weak Tactics again against a Coventry side I feel we should be beating. 1 up front at home is frustrating. Rant over, I do love Harris and what he has done but to slag off team and lack of quality is a joke. Great show, keep up the good work and how about selling some Millwall chat with chaps merchandise to raise money as I need a good travel coffee flask for work 😂

@ Due to Coventry haven’t had the best of season so far and new management and imo they were there for the taking. We lost that game and Coventry deserved it, But they didn’t look great and it was how poorly we were that cost us the game
