He’s been building his reputation in the underground rap scene since the late 2000s and over the past couple of years, all that hard work has finally begun to pay off. Hailing from the home of Harvard University and MIT, Millyz made the decision at only 14-years-old to jump into local rap battles and cyphers. A year later, he’d be recording in a studio for the first time before dropping his debut mixtape in 2009. A street rapper through and through, Millyz knew that if he didn’t get himself off the block, then things were gonna turn nasty. Well I'm white and I lived in the hood in both Louisville and Birmingham, was literally broke hustling, I had friends but most of the time if I first met them they try to set me up , or skeet on drugs , or even not give drugs at all after you paid and instead by themselves drugs and sit on porch and use in front of you not concerned that they live right next to you and you see them everyday ( in the projects in Birmingham) . I went through all types of shit . I had to get a black friend to go buy drugs with me and I had to have one carry it for me walking home or I was risking it cause I had to worry about cops as well. They see a white boy in the hood they assume you buying drugs and don't live there , so I would always get stopped and searched .
