If yall didn't understand how sample clearance works, look up the story behind Bittersweet Symphony. Sampled an orchestral cover of a rolling stones song that sounded nothing like the rolling stones song. Well it was still an interpolation by default and because the Verve did not get clearance from the Rolling Stones. They got sued and lost every penny off of their only hit. Jagger and Richard's got all the money because the verve didn't know the process
