From Manus, but there is something special about this song... listening and watching the clip and I am reflecting the isolated islands way of life, the struggles to and fro just to come to provincial centres just to do some simple shopping and wait for a transport to return back home.. maybe it can take 1 week or 2.

Listen to this song brings me the memory back to 1994 and I traveled by sea to Dobu Island in Milne bay escaping the volcanic eruption in ENB Province. Dobu is my mom's sweet island home. I usually follow my uncles and they sing while we paddle home on canoes. But now after 30 plus years am away from living in the WHP Mount Hagen. I still miss my mom's home. Thanks for the wonderful music.

Back growing up in the early 90's I use to hear this song being played by my dad on his 8 battery cassette player radio. As a kid I love listening to it when played. The song is about a guy who was raised by a single mother. He left his village to travel afar, and while he was away, his mother passed away. When he returned, he found his mother's house empty. Standing on the road leading to the house, he reminisced about who would call him now that he is an orphan. 😢
