I don't remember Randall kicking Shauna out, it was more that Shauna was uncomfortable seeing the dynamic between Randall's family and Deja because Deja was being like a happy kid rather than her mother's support. Shauna was going to skip out but Randall caught her which led to the whole giving up rights thing

I just rewatched the episode and you're right Shauna was the one who felt like she had to leave, Randall was happy to have her over. Seriously Milo you were in the episode and it wasn't just archive footage you had to film that new scene with the goodnight moon scene.

Shauna realized that she could never offer Deja the kind of childhood Randall could. She said Deja deserve to be a child and be happy. So out of love for her daughter she left her at Randall’s. She was looking out for her and the kind of future Randall’s family could offer her. I hope Future Tess isn’t talking about Deja when she says « Her ». I can deal with Beth being dead in the future as it would be a natural thing dying old.

He said the fire was on the day of the 1997 Super Bowl, but it was 1998, wasn't it? Because the kids were 17, and their birthday is in August 1980, so they wouldn't be 17 yet in early 1997. Plus, Randall went with that girl to see Titanic on the day of the fire, and that movie came out in December 1997...so in January 1998 it would have been out in theaters for like a month.
