I way to get used to each other's scents is to have a towel out and have milk like, lay on it the next time you would use the carrier, then put it out w/ the pups

Stacy, I think that the little cubbyhole under the stairs that you want to use for milquetoast, should have a little cat bed, because if you have a litter box right there milquetoast wouldn't use it because its not enough space.

This mainly just depends on the cat but some cats like up and down scratching posts better because they can really get their claws sharpened good so I suggest if he dosent use the one in the little house a lot get an upwards scratching post.
