snoopy dubnation i asked a police officer friend who said IF the officer thinks it’s drug money BINGO payday. I’ve been known to carry up to 7k. I have a side hustle that is legit, i pay taxes and i feel extremely strong about IF they try and steal my money. Civil forfeiture was meant for kingpins but as usual they get around to honest hard working people to steal from

Yeah, that's kind of a stupid strategy. Like waiting for last call to pick up a chick down at the end of the bar. If you like 'em 100 pounds over, with a mustache, go for it. Me, I'm heading for the hot chicks as soon as I walk in the door. I buy 'em a couple drinks, get 'em to laughing and feeling good about themselves (that's the secret), and stroll out at 11 clock, while you're still looking over the fat chicks, trying to decide. Loser.

I went to a gun show a couple of years ago and saw a pristine Walther PPK 32 cal on a table. My wife was with me band I asked if she would like it and she looked at it and said yes. The man selling it it wanted way too much for the gun at almost a new price for a used gun so I started to negotiate with him. He wouldn't budge pointing out it had been polished (which it had and had almost a mirror finish) and because of that he couldn't sell it for less than his asking price of $675. Of course that was unacceptable to me and we went about our way. 2 weeks later we went to another show in another town about 75 miles away and low and behold that man was at that show. He immediately recognised us and he still had the same pristine Walther PPK 32 cal on the table in front of him. We talked and he remembered what I offered the first time and said he'd sell it to me for that price that day. I originally offered $350 For the pistol, but now I dropped it to $300. He asked me why, I told him that because he made me drive 75 miles to get the pistol my time and money was worth the $50. He shook kids head and said you're "killing me man". Needless to say I walked out of there $300 poorer but I had the pristine little Walther PPK. Moral of the story never try to bullshit a bullshiter, and or bully a bully. And money talks.

An old gun, maybe collector's value, that has been polished, loses all collector's value. Patina is worth money, polish is not.

I usually walk my first pass through a gun show like a NY City resident walking to the train station . I recon the layout without making eye contact with anyone . I avoid tables of new guns because I can usually get as good if not better deals with local sellers . My favorite local gun shop has a layaway program , so I don't feel pressured. Then I make for the tables that interet me . I look for reloading gear , MILSURP non-firearm items , and tables of odd stuff . I've bought antique knives , bullet moulds , reloading dies , mess kits , ponchos , boxes of bullets for reloading in odd calibers , spent brass , and such at good prices . I'm a knife junky , and the majority of knives for sale at gun shows are either mass produced Chinese junk or high-end tactical blades at ridiculous prices . Most of the knives I've bought at gun shows are Cold Steel , Mora , Condor , or rusty old blades made of high carbon steel worth refinishing. I once bought a Bear Archery Montana Longbow at a gun show for $75 while the MSRP was $399. I often wonder why vendors of stuff such as window polish , scented candles , dream catchers , and other such items put up tables in gun shows . It seems to me that half the time it is the gentler partner of the gun selller that tags along with her hubby to get into the action .

They bring a few 'gun' items to allow themselves to get in the door, then make their money on the high profit margin garbage like the candles, dream catchers, etc.

I live in california. The first show I ever went to I was in 6th grade and my dad took me because I begged him to. It was incredible, an immense convention center absolutely packed with table after table filled with all manner of guns, parts, milsurp & antique militaria, every corner was crammed with something, and the place was packed. It was truly something to behold, the year was 2011.... I didn't make it to another one till 2018. It just so happened to be the same show as before and remembering the amazing experience I had when I was 11 decided to go back. I got there very excited paid admission outside and went in the doors.. As my eyes adjusted from the sunlight to the comparatively darker inside I found myself gazing upon a wasteland..... Where was everyone, where were the massive piles of milsurp, what happened to the rows upon rows of mosins and mausers, the display cases of lugers and nazi daggers, medals, & flags. What the hell happened!! I was absolutely baffled. My disappointment was near immeasurable. I now know what happened.....

Ask to look at a rifle before just grabbing at it. Ask if it is ok to remove the bolt/field strip to check the bore. Bring a bore light too. Might not be one there. A magnifying glass if your eyes aren't as good as they used to be. Have a poker face when you see something. Ask if he is open to reasonable offers and prepare to haggle. Finally, if you can't come to an agreement? Just thank the fellow for his time, leave a number if he changes his mind and walk away. Always another somewhere.

1. Dont take the rent and bill money to the show. 2. Never pay retail. 3.Eat and drink and go to the bathroom before you go in. 4. Get there at opening time. 5. The guy behind the table is there to get your money. He is not your friend. You know he's lieing and if you don't know? Just keep moveing.

I am starting to think there is no such thing as a good deal at a gun show anymore. You can't buy milsurp at reasonable prices anymore, those days are over. But I agree that you have to go early if you have any hope at all. Most of the good stuff is sold to other dealers before the show even opens so if you really want a shot at scoring some stuff buy a table for that show and get there early when guys are putting their stuff out. It may be worth the $ fir the tables if your in the market to purchase a few pieces and sell of some of your own.
@yuibot5998

I still see good deals but they are few and far between. Supply and demand, as well as more young people getting into milsurps due to movies and video games with political pressure put on top just causes prices to rise continuously it seems. I got into guns in 2012 so I hit the last year or two of good deals where there were still a few things around 100 bucks...Nagant revolvers, Mosins, Steyr M95's, 90 dollar spam cans. Those days are over for sure.

It's funny how the only time I've been to a gun show was around 2004, back when the only gun I had was a hunting rifle. I had been given the tip to make a quick round of the tables to get an idea of the best prices. I never felt comfortable buying a gun from a show because I worry about getting a lemon.

Me personally I've never been to a gun show with the purpose of buying a firearm until he recently I've taken a little more interest in it and I myself and a good friend was both wondering and speculating about which is the best day to go the first day or the second day?? I had no idea me and him said well they probably put all the expensive stuff out first and they sell all that and we just went back and forth and I said well I'm sure some vendors save some of the better things for the second day but honestly without your video we had no idea but now we know we want to get there at the butt crack of dawn! So thank you for that sir!

An amendment to one of your tips: If you spot something that you want to come back to later, take a quick look around for a “landmark”. Especially at large shows, I have found myself forgetting where the table was that I wanted to return to. Another tip: Toss a few “trade goods” into your tote bag. I don’t how many times I’ve used excess Garand enbloc clips as currency. I’ve also traded a couple of iffy bayonets for a decent one. I have a couple of larger items like an ALICE pack and a Kevlar helmet that I keep in my truck to offer in a possible trade.

+1 for 'landmark'. The last show I went to, I saw something I was interested in, but wanted to see what else was available. When I decided to go back, it took me about 1/2 hour to find the guy again...and he had sold it 5-10 minutes before I got back. :-(

I have a good tip about gun shows that proved to be correct 100% of the time for every gun show there ever was Shop at your local gun stores and you can save up to 100% over what you will pay for anything at any gun show and that's a fact Not sure why they charge so much more but gun shows have become known as a rip off gun stores for suckers nowadays A gun store owner even told me he takes guns he could never sell for a $100 puts them in a gun show for $200 and they sell like hot cakes to dummies addicted to hot cakes LOL Proved it to myself by checking local prices then got in to a gun show to find the prices were sure enough way higher Brand new $500 rifles at the local store sold for up to $800 at the gun show with some of them being used and not new and that told me never waste money on getting into any rip off gun show run obviously by Democrats as a way to steal peoples money I can almost bet Hillary Clinton is in charge of running all of the rip off gun shows which is another good reason to not support them

@Art Anson I actually know how to price gun values by manufacture branding and age which has a lot to do with what they sell for not only that I can look one over and see any problems with it right off the bat and only tip I can give you is if you saw a side by side shotgun for $250 i can guarantee something was wrong with it or it was a made in China knock off not only that some of those side by side are so old if they are shot with modern ammo they will blow up Kind of like my old Stevens bolt action 20 gauge of which some would see at a gun show for $250 but I'm here to tell you it is only worth $85 at most which is why I can walk thru a gun show and see nothing but jacked up prices on old junk My model 99 Arisaka i got for $200 was worth the price when I got it at a local ag store and did you know a lot of ag stores carry guns for sale also? But when I saw one in way worse shape than the one I got for $450 at a gun show it just proved my point about gun shows Try this place if you want to find cheap guns www.cheaperthandirt.com/ might notice they only have one side by side 20 gauge for $852 and it is a CZ the cheapest one on the market so the store your talking about is not out of line at $600 for a side by side that is in good working order and I can bet it is not a CZ Ask your local store what they charge for a transfer fee and I bet they would be glad to help you order guns online and you would still get them cheaper than any gun show which was how I got my DB10ELB308 Usually a gun store in a small town is already struggling to stay in business being as there really is no profit for them in selling guns alone and they depend on customers word of mouth for advertising and after market part sales to make any money The city I live in is only 2,000 people and the gun store we have beats everyone's prices as far as I can see all over Texas and is sometimes less than half price on any gun compared to the gun show that comes to town Weakley Watson which was Americas oldest gun store also in the town I live in went out of business recently because their prices were too high according to word of mouth to give you an example the DB10ELB308 I feature on my channel I got from them was about $150 more than anyone else sold it for but I just got it from them because, It was Americas oldest gun store I was getting it from and no other reason which was worth more for me to pay One other reason I got it there was because weakly Watson was the first place I ever bought a gun in 1970 and now the last place maybe not sure as I might buy more later anyway but wanted one from them before they went out of business anyway You can find one of them at cheaper than dirt for $864 but I got mine for $1000 to give you an ideal why they ended up going out of business but look for one at a gun show and they will be selling for $1500 to $2000 twice what your local gun store could probably order you one for and I can bet even if they had a transfer fee you could get one cheaper than I did at your local store Another place to look is garage sales and estate sales such as my colt king cobra 357 mag with a six inch barrel I feature on my channel I got for $165 at McBride's guns in Austin Texas on consignment sale from an estate sale Just try to find one like it at any gun show or store for less than $2000 to give you an ideal how them estate sales and garage sales are something you might want to look into also I knew a guy working a table at flea markets and gun shows one time and he was selling Kennedy half dollars for a dollar calling them birth date coins and people actually came up to his table some laughing about it while some actually bought the coins saying they thought the Kennedy half dollars were completely out of circulation LMAO He was the same guy I knew that would take old guns to gun shows call them antiques even when they were not and sell guns only worth $100 at most for $200 all day which is what you may have seen at your own gun show He cracked me up even more when he had manufacture reloading manuals from different powder manufactures not the books but the free sample booklets they give out to customers and was selling them for $2 each LOL Needless to say I never waste money going to any gun shows anymore as I found them a waste of time and ripping off consumers in every way including using advertising to fool people into thinking they were getting what was actually junk for cheaper than they could get at their local gun store Never forget that guy selling half dollars for a dollar and can almost bet he sells them at gun shows for $2 each now days LOL

I just sold a long gun at a gun show by carrying it around with a MAKE OFFER sticker on it. Only 4 people asked about it and I went back to the first vendor because he made the best offer. Also, I've gotten great deals in the final hour of the last 3 gun shows I went to. The sellers were willing to take a lowball, rather than pay the fees and not make the sale.

most of the good deals are purchased bye dealers before the doors open in the morning.your best chance at a good deal is watching the walk ins coming in the door, just don't get caught as it is frowned upon.

Question: I sew holsters and other stuff and going to start selling at gun shows ... I live in Missouri but would like to visit my mother and also sell at a PA gun show ... the question: is there any concise/reliable source for each states gun laws, such as when and where guns can be worn/carried? Thanks, and great video.

I always assume the listed price for surplus military guns at a gun show is a starting point. Black guns and parts are a different story, they're hot sellers and sellers don't really comedown much. good points, thanks for posting.

Im planning to go to the Syracuse gun show which is the largest in NY. I rented a spot at a nearby campground and am going both days. Day 1 to get the stuff that I really want (fingers crossed for a french mas 36 and/or a carcano carbine). And day 2 to see what stuff the sellers are trying to dump and are willing to bargain on.

My wife loves gun shows, so I have her follow me 3 or 4 tables behind, so if I see a deal, I may keep going, but text her to pick it up. Especially ammo, since the last gun show actually had vendors putting box limits on buys. Yep, my strategy includes making a list of what I am looking for and prices online. If I can get it cheaper, I will pass.

I carry a small pack that has certain items, two being removable cinch loop type slings for wearing a pair of long guns on your back. I wear the ones for sale with a little flag in the upturned muzzle with the price on it. The slings NEVER go with the sale. Back in the pouch til needed again.

I am in California. I haven't been to a gun show yet. Not new to guns, just never been to a gun show. We have the ten day waiting period here for gun purchases online or in gun shops. If you are making private party purchases at a gun show, is there still the requirement for the background check or the ten day wait to pick up the purchase? I have my regular FFL dealer to go to for online gun and ammo sales, but I am completely green when it comes to gun show sales and protocol.
