Thanks a lot for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it. - You forgot the right IRUs! those need to be all ON (all 4) for all displays to work correctly with no throttle. - Regarding the doors and ramps, the animations were in fact timed with the sounds recordings we got from a real C17. However, we will review the accuracy against other sources and make changes as required. - We will move the flag! We quite liked this location, but I agree it isn't accurate. - The ignitions autoclick will be resolved in the next update. - The cargo door and ramp can be both operated at the same time, or independently as required. This is accurate to the real aircraft. - Regarding liveries, only RCAF was included due to Microsoft licensing deals. More liveries will be available soon. - Don't think you mention this - but there are some internal audio bugs that are being addressed (MSFS24 Bugs), so it will sound even better on the next update!

EDIT: In fact, the door animations are playing at inconsistent speeds on different systems! Plays just fine on our end, but tested with another system and got the same ultra-fast doors as you. Doors on the C17 are incredibly complex code-wise, so we have logged the issue to review.

Only discrepancies I see are small things no one cares about like the oxygen masks that are modeled are no longer used lol. US Army and Afghanistan vet here too. When you opened up the hatch from the cockpit to go into the cargo bay I started smiling as a lot of memories came flooding back. Didn't know you were a vet too until then. I remember the seats on the platform they would slide in the back. Is it just me or were those seats like half the size of a normal airline seat?

I pulled jumpmaster duties out of this aircraft for years being stationed down at Fort Bragg (Liberty). It was always a rush to stand outside the paratroop doors when the wind deflector was out and not feel much wind at all. USAF Vet here. In my time the C121 Globemaster was the one I flew on. Yeah, I would appreciate seeing the American Flag in the right place, but you might want to check with other vets and make sure. You’re idea does seem logical but might be best to double check it.

I was a C17 loadmaster out of Dover AFB, this plane looks good overall, but there's definitely some weird stuff about it like you stated, such as the door is supposed to open before the ramp goes down. Also, you mainly only switch on the fans at the loadmaster panel when loading vehicles so not entirely necessary. And when the video first starts, something about the shape of the plane looked slightly off to me, the nose looks too pointy. I've also never seen the US flag mounted to the wing box like in the video, like you said, it's always at the front of the cargo compartment.

I 100% agree with you with the flag. I have flown in this aircraft at least a dozen times. And the flag was always hanging by the ladder to the entrance to the cockpit.

My first C17 flight will be doing circuits out of CFB Trenton which is where I saw my first ones doing them. As a side note, I hear stay away from steam versions. A330 driver refunded his steam purchase and was given the ms store version and all his problems went away

I jumped out of C-17s, C-130s, and even a CH-47 once and different aircrews hang up flags in different places all the time. Sometimes it's just a college football team flag or, if they're an Air National Guard aircrew, it's often their state flag. Anyway, my point is, there is nothing really 'unusual' about where they happen to put the flag. I don't even remember there being flags on the C-17 and C-130 flights from Manas to Bagram, or Kuwait to Kandahar, but it's been a decade so I could be remembering it wrong but they'll definitely put flags in different spots all the time. That's normal.

Velocity one brakes are toggled to smart camera . Best thing to do in settings go to search input and press any button , you’ll see all commands and you can delete anything you don’t want from that by clicking on setting for that button

@StevesSimStation oh wow! When I was stationed at Fort Riley, we had some C-17s drop off some pave hawks for training. But when they came to pick them up they couldn't take off from our runway. They had to fly the pave hawks to the Manhattan Airport because they had a longer runway. I love flying, the only downfall for me is the C-17 doesn't have window seats lol.

We have identified a bug that is causing significant drops in FPS on some systems, has to do with WX and Terrain radars executing constantly even when disabled. There is a temporary workaround - reduce your Glass Cockpit Refresh Rate on MSFS Settings, and FPS will greatly improve. This is just temporary while we release an update addressing the problem.

Thanks for the video, The C17 is good but MSFS 24 is still a laggy mess on Xbox series x until they get it fixed with updates. I think MSFS 24 will be great once they get it under control. It's barely playable right now.

Thank you for video. This is my most anticipated aircraft, a little disappointed. The nose is too pointy. It doesn’t quite capture the shape of the Moose. Also, what are those round windows on the lower sides of the nose? The real aircraft does not have these.

- The nose geometry perfectly matches the documentation from manufacturers and the photos we have from the aircraft. We have a few overlaid photos to confirm this that we can share, but YT has deleted the comment twice for sharing the link. The zoom on MSFS does a sort of "fish eye" effect that may distort how the aircraft looks from certain angles. - Those windows are Infrared Landing Lights. Not all operators have them installed - but all RCAF C17s do, and many USAF as well. You may take a look at images and confirm that those are indeed installed in many C17s

It was probably because it was a just generic texture not a livery with any weathering. Once they put some liveries together hopefully, they have a weathered look to it
