Thank you for this video. As a leftist myself I don’t agree with his ideas but it’s extremely important to understand clearly the propositions of your opponents to further refine your own ideas and develop intellectually honest and rigorous counter arguments. Difficult to do in politics, but critical to do it nonetheless!

Apple is shining example of what Friedman means when he says 'social responsibility' is a cloak. You'd think Apple favored social justice from all their tweets, but when it comes to using slave labor in china, they are all for it. They are only now investing in leaving China because their bottom line is being impinged by the tariffs and lockdowns. I don't think Friedman is saying genuine justice does not matter, he is saying that business that say 'justice is their aim' are being disingenuous. No matter how much good you do, if you can't sustain the effort, you won't be doing it very long. Business that don't seek profits won't last, who will that help?
