Something to note after using this myself for awhile is that you want to keep steady pressure all the way through your cut. If you punch through by accident when making smaller holes you can still manage to get the arms to make a 7in circumference gouge outside of the desired cut

I love watching your videos. I’m glad that you gave an alternative to buying from Amazon. I don’t do business with Amazon to the extent that this is possible anymore.

Thank you. It’s usually the easiest place to send people but sometimes it’s actually cheaper somewhere else. The problem these days is finding a place that has it in stock (besides Amazon) That’s the case in my area anyways. Thanks for watching and the compliment! 👍

Put some Blue thread lock on the screws holding the blades in, but for 6.3" for 6" LED snap in recessed lighting, worked wonderfully

That's pretty much what I have used this for... It does a decent job catching the dust with the shield too 👍👍

very well presented articulated and detail inclusive review. Extremely helpful for me to decide finally to purchase this item for an upcoming lighting installation job. Thank you

Thank you.. It’s very good for both Drywall and Ceiling Tiles. Hard to beat the price for the amount of hole saws you would have to buy to get all the sizes. I’m still using mine all the time.. no complaints. Will buy another if this one gets dull. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment 👍

It has three features that are annoying. Laser etched numbers are barely visible after some time. The spring mechanism tends to jam even if cleaned thoroughly. Plastic pan/cover and the drill bit holder assembly makes it prone to breaking. Otherwise great tool. Such videos when you use the tool on the job site first and then review are a great idea.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I haven’t had an issue with the etching yet, but my eyesight has been going out on me in the last year or so and I’m not sure I would notice 😂. I really need to break down and get some glasses. Always great to hear from you!

Put in a handful of recessed axis cameras recently. I could have used this. I almost went back to the van for a jigsaw.

I really like it…and it’s not priced bad for how many sizes you can get. I install a lot of cameras and smoke detectors, mine gets quite a bit of use and has held up well.

Your right. I've had a hole pro for years and that easy adjustment on that Milwaukee seems extremely convienent. Still love my hole pro but that is definitely a plus. Hole pro offers carbide tipped blades for harder materials , does this one? Also yes the ability to adjust to awkward sizes is a must also so I'll stick to my hole pro for now but good video

The replacement blades in this are the same as what comes with it…and as far as I know they don’t offer any other options. I just looked up the Hole Pro…looks pretty sweet. They have one that says 1-7/8” to 17”! That is crazy. Thanks for the comment and especially for letting me know what you use. I love hearing about other tools.

How does it do when you hit a stud?
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance 2 жыл бұрын
You can tell you are hitting one. It will score into it, but won’t cut it. It doesn’t seem to hurt it.. but I’m sure it dulls the blades a bit. Hope that helps!

Yes it does. The blades are plenty long enough to do that.

@@MORGANSMaintenance Thank you so much for answering, do you think a DEWALT 20V MAX ATOMIC Lithium-Ion Brushless impact will be enough or do i need more power to use this tool?

I knew someone would ask…😆 It’s a set of tools I leave on the job site for anyone to use if they need something quick. I have to use stuff people won’t steal.😂 It was there and I grabbed it. I did use some Hand Sanitizer when I got done…😂😂
