@kokushi333 let's say they deal Middleton and Portis for Butler. Then what? Who's the backup power and center? Who's the top bench scorer? Those three roles are occupied by Middleton and Portis. Butler's skills are dismissing and he's a locker room cancer. He's not worth it. Lavine? Similar situation. A better player, but an even worse fit than Butler. Lavine isn't a good defender and a lot of his offensive touches would be lost to Giannis and Dame. Neither of these trades help the Bucks.

@ I agree with you, I am not fond of those superstar trade ideas, it doesn't need to happen. But what I am looking for the Bucks is an upgrade to what they have, a better big man perhaps? Also, I don't want them moving Ajax and AJ Green, and Trent Jr. as well.

I am a Bucks fan, I dont believe LaVine makes us a title contender, we should try trading for Myles Turner, I feel like he would improve our team but I still dont think it puts us over the edge, I have accepted that this team likely is a first of second round exit, maybe conference finals if we get lucky and have prepared myself for a Giannis trade request this off season, It would kill me inside to see Giannis go to another team, if we do end up trading him we better get back a blue chip prospect, or a young player with All-Star level potential, and a bunch of Unprotected first round and second round draft picks, or it better be a package similar to what OKC got for Paul George if not more.

LaVine gets us close. If we had a steady 3rd option that can give us 15-20ppg and take pressure off of Giannis so he can put more in defense it would be massive. I think we need to reset the clock and go after guys like Turner, Fox, Sabonis and extend this 2-3 year window to 4-5 years if possible.

Lavine is worth more than the Bucks have to offer. I'm sure Chicago doesn't want Portis back anywhere near the organization. And a busted up Middleton is just dead weight. As for that 2031 draft pick, isn't that 6 yrs away??? Useless at this point. Chicago is better off keeping Lavine, and seeing what the offseason has to offer!!!! This deal is dead in the water.
