I purchased this as an impulse buy and had buyers remorse before even trying it. Tested it on my lugnuts on my truck and it took them off with no struggle. Don't regret buying it at all now 😂

Did you get the 3/8 or 1/2 version? Is there an advantage to getting the 1/2? I hear some people say the 3/8 is stronger.

*Awesome impact **MyBest.Tools** Takes tires off in a second. Plenty of power for what I’ve used it for - rotating tires. Using it on 3rd setting for removal and 2nd setting for tightening lugs.*

That was impressive and the thing about a air impact is most tire places have them set to high. Then when you’re on the side of the road with a lug wrench you can’t get the lugs off. So you have to pay 💰 to get roadside assistance out to take your tire off. Saves money and busted knuckles. Great video. Thanks for the review videos. That’s one of the great things about KZbin. It’s crazy to spend money on something with out checking it out first.

My 3/8" stubby with 3/8 to 1/2 adapter and a 43mm socket on it, took off an axel nut torqued to 200 ft. lbs that hadn't been removed in 10 years and the bolt was cross-threaded. So the bolt was def tighter than 200 ft. lbs with rust and all.. I couldn't believe it..It took about 15 secs then stopping then 10 more seconds.. but it took it off crazy stuff... They are amazing! My friend bought 1 the very next day...

I have the 3/8 stubby. Its a great lil gun to fit in tight spaces. Car Wheel lugs and suspension work. Im a bus mechanic so i use it on other stuff like batteries. Light engine work/ brackets and other stuff. This gun should be able to remove most car lugs unless they have been over torqued. And they are most of the time. Alot of guys use air guns to put wheels back on and not torque to spec. Some use torque sticks.

Bought the mid torque m18 just now. Just because I got a great price and It'll take off over torqued lugs. But thinking about getting the m12 stubby for my step dad. He's hammering with a corded pos cheap impact wrench that struggle with lugs and weigh a ton. He also loves tinkering and repairing lawn mowers and snow blowers. I think he'll fall in love. And It'll make it easy on his hands.

The 250 ft lb spec on and off are a little conservative. The 1/2” can take off nuts just over 330 ft lbs!!! 250 ft lbs is probably good for putting on nuts, but could be inconsistent, so a torque wrench and mode 4 is recommended.

August 2019, the new 1" milwaukee impact is out, and the high output battery series. The larger the battery, the more power it puts out (word on the street, there is noticeable difference). Don't buy the kit, comes with two batteries that are lame, waste of money. Spend up front and get the high output battery set, so you have a back up. The 1/2" is enough for semi truck wheel install/removal at 475 ft lb spec for the nuts.

Couple of years ago I set myself up as a DIYer at home with a decent air compressor with a fair bit of top end Ingersoll-Rand air impacts......which are fantastic but I really like the look of these cordless impacts but just as a DIY home use I could not justify the dollars plus I have a theory that air tools are far more robust because there’s no electronics to go wrong in time...... They look really good though my only justification could be to have a half inch charged in the boot of the car in the event of a flat tyre but in 30 years of driving I think I’ve only ever had about one flat..... I did buy the M12 impact and drill kit on a super special with an extra free battery for around the house those are absolutely brilliant same battery is used in the heated jacket which I also have I would recommend Milwaukee to all DIYers

I use the 2967 high torq and i use the M-18 3/8 COMPACT WITH THE 3.0 BATTERY. The M-12 stubby with a bigger battery is no longer a stubby. I like the M-18 compcat way better. Gets all my under hood work and somtimnes a breake caliper and braket bolts. Also, i did not buy a high torq to simply break bolts free. I have mastered that gun and i use it to crank on larger bolts. I use level 3 90% of the time. It has an awesome trigger control. I know just when to let off it. Somtimes i toss a large racher on the bolt just to check and its always tight and never stripped. TIP: Clean up those large bolts first with wire brushm spray with WB-40, get them hand started even if you have to tap them in a little first, once you know those threads are started and feel good, then gran that high torq and slam them home! Once you master this you will almost never need your torq wrench.

I just got an M12 fuel impact driver and even that little bastard took off all my lugnuts with a 3/8" adapter to a medium size impact socket. 2.5 battery. On a car which was last worked on over a year ago by one of those quick tire shops. I only had a struggle on one lugnut, but I switched to the 4.0 battery and it came right off. These things are incredible. I'm looking into getting the stubby next. Im torn between the M12 and the M18 3/8" fuel stubby I hear they make the same torque.

I do prefer the kit version, but why milwaukee did away with the hardcase is beyond me, i feel the tool and the accesories wouldn't be as better protected with the softcase, other than that, great impact tool. I plan on getting the 1/2'' stubby tool by itself, only because i've already have two 4.0AH batteries i could use from a 1/2'' M12 hammer drill kit that actuall came with a hardcase.
