I just got this compressor. It's perfect for my purpose. I have a variety of finishing nail guns and I don't want to buy separate cordless guns. I wasn't in the market for a cordless compressor. But I found one on clearance at Home Depot for $95. Yes, $95 for this compressor where the regular price is $379. The price label showed $285 on clearance at the store. I knew it would ring up as $95 because online for that particular store had it on clearance for $95. I had to travel out of town to that HD store to get it. I would have never paid $379 or even $285. For $95, I was sold.

Definitely not the wrong tool for filling up truck tired as a portable inflator. That's the explicit reason I got mine, because at the time there was no portable inflator that could go past ~40PSI.

What do you mean it “kinda” runs on their m18 platform? It either does or doesn’t.

im using it inside the home to clean fridge condensers that cant be brushed or sprayed. also to clean small hoses that are clogged.

hmm. the piggyback tank idea sounds nice, but then you really also want AC power to fill it up. so ideally this type of quiet compressor product would be dual powered. or like a metabo / ikoki branded one, where they all sell an AC battery adaptor as optional accessory. of course none of those features matter if it is not also quiet. and most compressors are not quiet. for a permanent installation, then its possible to create a small wooden outhouse or utility cabinet, and then make a good soundproof lining. very quiet. however for a portable ones like these... making some decent airtight soundproofing. well that would be a lot more difficult and challenging feature to do nearly so well as compared for a stationary unit also the general landscape of compressors if pretty confusing and difficult to navigate especially for really finding the more silent ones in any specific desired size / performance bracket. and clearly most retailers do not like to demo them because they are so loud. and getting a good idea from video reviews is also pretty challenging too. when different people review different ones under different recording conditions, it is not really much possible to make reasonable direct comparisons that way sp hard. but the new m12 fuel nailer is a pretty sweet tool. that thing is tiny. really cool

The only thing that disappoints me about this particular compressor is the price point, Dewalt gives you a Flexvolt (better battery), and a lighter compressor for way less that performs pretty equal to this compressor

milwaukee always runs a premium on the price. what i've actually found to be nicer is the metabo HPT multivolt compressor. been using that one a bit more

The compressor tank fills faster when the working pressure regulator is on zero.

Probably bc the vibrations would eventually weaken the link/connection and cause problems. Just a guess.
