great review Javier, you must have read my mind! I've been looking for a cordless grinder, I have a lot of Snap-on cordless tools in my mechanics toolbox but the Snap-on cordless grinder is $734 and its not even brushless!!! And it only comes with 1 4.0ah battery!! Makes the Milwaukee look like a good option to me, its priced right and comes with 2 5.0a/h batteries and its red so it wont look out of place in my box! I love my Snap-on power tools but man they are falling behind when compared to other manufacturers!

+TheBearuk1 thanks bro, wow dude you have to be committed to snap on for that price

Javier, nice job as always! I have the fuel grinder without the brake, and it performs as you described. it is sufficient for any job I have thrown at it, grinding welds on small diy stuff with plenty of reserve battery.
@ToolCraze9 жыл бұрын
+Wild Goose thanks bro. I was surprised at how much torque this thing pumps out for cordless.

+Tool Craze agreed! you can really lean on this thing and it's tough to get it to stall.

..I like your reviews there are critical at the right point. I have the previous grinder from Milwaukee - it died after 2 years. Here in Germany the warranty is only two years for Milwaukee Tools. My M18 drill driver is also not working anymore. I will go back to Makita - the tools are harder for the real work..

Hey Tool Craze, great review. Do you think this grinder would fit in the 2780 m18 fuel case? I cant find a case only for this model but from everything I see, the 80 and 83 are very similar in shape.. It should fit in the 2780, no?
@ToolCraze7 жыл бұрын
maybe not because of the paddle switch but this model does come with a case if you buy the kit so I don't understand why you say there's no case for it
@toargames9 жыл бұрын
Great review javier, At first i was pissed off Milwaukee released this new model a month after i bought the previous fuel model but now i don't regret that since this new model doesn't have a slide switch and that is a must for me
@ToolCraze9 жыл бұрын
+Arjan van Helden thanks Arjan. A slide switch would be great to see with the new braking feature but Milwaukee felt that if some one is looking for angle grinders with safety in mind, they'll go with a paddle switch first even before they require brake.

I know im late in the game for this but, im looking at buying one of these. From what you showed, im not too concerned about power. But what about run time? I have a bunch of m18 4ah batteries so im looking at getting just the bare tool. How much grinding and cutting time will I get from 1 4ah battery? And would it be worth it to buy one of the larger batteries? I have 6 of the 4ah ones, but they catch a lot of use in my other tools.
@ToolCraze6 жыл бұрын
I haven't tested it with the 4ah but I did with the 9.0 for runtime. I can't remember the runtime numbers off the top of my head as it was a couple of years ago but check out my Milwaukee 9.0 review video. Runtime figures for the grinder and other M18 tools is toward the end the video.

Javier great review my friend how have u been man? How's the runtime on these? My Dewalt goes threw battery's like there ain't no tomorrow
@ToolCraze9 жыл бұрын
+Mike Z Thanks Mike. I've been hanging in there. I didn't test for runtime but after several minutes I was able to drop one bar from the 5.0 battery but keep in mind I was pushing the tool to the max to get a feel for the tools max performance. I'm thinking about doing a runtime test so it might happen.
@mikez15699 жыл бұрын
Ok sounds good bro! Hey how do u like that Dewalt table saw? I've been wanting one so bad :}
@ToolCraze9 жыл бұрын
+Mike Z funny you should ask because I haven't had a chance to try it out. When I got it I ran a 2x4 through it and that's it. It's an older model so it probably wouldn't matter to you as it's the dw745 model. The stand it's on is a current model and I like it a lot so far. I have the new dwe7491rs and the dwe7480 will be coming in soon so I'll get to try them both out. I'll let you know what I think of them.

hey can u make a video on Bosch cordless grinder 18vli ?
@simpesfaip7 жыл бұрын
Looking to buy one, but brushed is cheaper. Whats the difference between brushed and brushless?
@ToolCraze7 жыл бұрын
Brushless motors are more efficient, for cordless tools it usually means better runtime. Some cordless brushless tools also get more performance. I haven't tried any brushed cordless grinders but they say that those are pretty weak and don't have the power to be effective at grinder, cutting yes but grinding not so good. This grinder in this video is comparable to a corded grinder.
@pruneda958 жыл бұрын
hey carnal can i cut tile specially porcelain tile with this grinder without it breaking it or cracking it like some grinders do? im looking to have the same stability and reliability as the good old makita corded grinder i've owned for 4 years now
@ToolCraze8 жыл бұрын
+pruneda95. use a smooth diamond blade and take it slow. If you're chipping, breaking and cracking its because your using a turbo blade. It really has little to do with grinder itself, but really its the blade your using
@dwight.bennett9 жыл бұрын
Javier, After all that safety talk, the battery was still in when you took the blade off! Maybe the next model will have a blade release button behind the battery attachment point so the battery has to be removed to release the blade. Now that would be innovation.
@ToolCraze9 жыл бұрын
+Dwight Bennett oh yeah lol, good eye. I'm not particularly worried as it's got the safety lock on the paddle switch. It's virtually impossible to start the grinder unless the safety tab is flipped and then you still have to press the paddle switch. I think a feature like adding the motor lock button to the base where the battery attaches would probably be better left off to a diy brand, but even then users would probably get frustrated and quickly gravitate to the current method. Just my 2 cents

thats weird. both toolpig and toolaholic (at instagram) came to the conclusion that makita is stronger and faster. They have vids when makita beat milwaukee
@ToolCraze8 жыл бұрын
the second gen milwaukee is stronger than the Makita XPH07, I haven't seen the other vids you're talking about but I'm assuming the makita was compared to the first gen milwaukee which it is better than first gen milwaukee fuel

Is this a Gen 2 fuel grinder organ 1?
@ToolCraze9 жыл бұрын
+roy massey don't know the answer to that question but what I do know is that this grinder is based on the previous fuel grinders except that this model features an electric brake and the fixtec lock nut which the previous models didn't have. Other than that they appear to be identical. This model is priced more than the previous fuel models for the added brake feature

I bought this expensive toy. If you want to play use this, with the overpriced brake(barely does anything). If you want to do real work use a Makita GA7001L 7"/9" grinder. (depends on the guard). This will cut grind like no other( will last many times better than the competition). I use the M-18 grinder for light cleanup. The Makita 7"/9" grinder is big, but you need this for the smoothness and lock switch is nice! Don't need my cutting torch, or an expensive plasma cutter. Also cost about the same as this M-18 toy! A heavy fire storm of sparks! Use all precautions! Will catch anything on fire!(clothes!!!)
@ToolCraze6 жыл бұрын
you can't compare this to a larger grinder, of course a larger tool will perform better that's like comparing apples to oranges
@Will-bp2yc6 жыл бұрын
M-18 is not worth $218.00 That was my point.Its worth maybe half, and the brake is worthless! Plus Makita quality, that is probably why Home Depot only uses Makita at the rental yard! I think Milwaukee is trying, but it's China made, and Quality isn't quite there yet. People are looking for guidance and you are selling them on useless features. I fortunately have money to blow after you glorified this toy. How about the work it can do? Hey I use the m-18, it just doesn't work that hard. 8000 rpm is slow for a 4 1/2" grinder.
