いいいあああ Hmm.. I do feel that using a clothes pins to make your nose taller a very stupid action though. (Maybe she is trying very hard to meet the beauty standard but she is trying the most dangerous method to do so) No need to be so offended by what PDR had said lol.

saikono saikono saikono First, why did you write in English? I wrote in Japanese and you totally understand what I wrote (I don't think you understood "what I meant"). Why did you have to write in English? Didn't you think I can understand English? Did you want to show off your English? lol Secondly, I said "そう言いたくなる気持ちも分かりますが" which means "though I understand why you said so." The point was that before you say someone's act for beauty is ridiculas, you'd better think "why" because there must be a reason. I think she didn't confidence with her beauty and she was mentally forced into difficulties that she had to do that. (Maybe she didn't seem so, but people look happy can have problems) Don't you think it's sad? I think her act is really similar to wearing makeup. Yea MAKEUP! This is one of the things that EVERYONE has THEIR OPINION about them!! Like, some people think just ok, but other people don't. For instence, mimei said she had a problem with Japanese eye shadows because they don't fit with her, but I didn't think so. I thought like she can fit any colour with her face because of her beauty. But she might not think so. See? What you think of beauty isn't always the same as others. And NOBODY HAS A RIGHT TO LOOK DOWN ON OTHERS BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE. If you want to tell her it's dangerous, just do it. You don't need to say she's stupid in public. I think it's just an insult. Even though mimei talked about the rudeness of pointing out personalities, PDRsan's word for his classmate was totally rude. Thirdly, I JUST SPOKE MY OPINION! This is the most part I totally can't understand. I was no offence! I just told what I thought! Hey! This is KZbin! Everyone has a right to give their opinion, right? Yes you do too, but I have to say this. Please believe me that I'm one of PDRsan's huge fans. I reeeally respect him. He always gives people a chance to speak their opinion in the end part of his film, so I don't think he really cares what I said. Actually, I don't know how he felt with that, but at least, I can say THAT WAS NO OFFENCE! Thank you.

saikono Now I can see why you thought my words were offensive. Did you thought "実際頭悪い発言が重罪だとは思いませんが" means "I don't think YOUR STUPID WORDS are guilty"? It doesn't. It meant, "I don't think the words you said like "She's stupid" are guilty. Maybe I should've use a quotation mark like this, 実際「頭悪い」という発言が重罪だとは思いませんが.

saikono oh and you said "offended." I thought you said "offensive." This is my fault. I'm sorry. But I still have to say this, I wasn't offended with his words. I just thought he was a bit rude to his classmate, not to me.

hi. I'm Japanese. High nose, small face, big eyes, white skin. All these are compliments in Japan (especially women). I did not feel like insulting the opponent. But for most foreigners I did not think it was uncomfortable .... The difference in culture is strange! Let's be careful in the future! This is google translation. I'm sorry if could not make sense.

insulting the opponent/相手を侮辱 That's pretty funny sounding in English./それは英語でかなり面白いです。 I asked the Google.

I ran into the same type of comments while in Japan, lol. My classmates would say how small my face was, I didn't really know how to respond. The weirdest comment I got was when I noticed that a lot of the girls in my class shave their arm hair so I suggested to my friend that maybe I should too. She had a sad look on her face and said "No! Don't shave your beautiful blonde arm hair!" 😂

I'm Japanese and live in Europe and people always talk about my hair. That my hair is so beautiful. So straight, thick, that glows and how fast it grows. White people also always comment on how fast I get tanned and how pretty my skin is when tanned. I guess we all tend to like what we don't have.
The weirdest thing that has happened to me while travelling in Japan was at the World Cosplay Summit last year. I wasn't even in cosplay but I was stopped almost like 30 TIMES by guys wanting to take pictures of me. WHY.

I just looked at your channel and how do you look like..... you are really cute with that make-up and face... i would take a picture with you too xD Plus if you had some cool clothes like you have in videos then i am not even suprised they wanted to take photo.

Actually, that's super common over there. They'll take pictures of anyone who looks foreign, and most times they won't ask.
@BankruptMonkey6 жыл бұрын
Stetson_Newsie really? No one took pictures of me. But then I was taller than most doorways so I was probably either intimidating or ugly. Or maybe I had my commuting face on without realizing it, I don't look friendly when I'm focused on getting somewhere I think.
you look great girl! i can't understand why people get so serious with their looks... i mean.. it's just genetics and life isn't about that after all...

I'm a Japanese and I live in UK now. A few days ago, I went for a coffee with my friend who is Scottish. And then we were talking about this topic. I longed for her blond hair and blue eyes but she also longed for my black straight hair. We understood "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" there. Since then I have been proud of my hair and eyes and so on which my parents gave me and I haven't dyed my hair nor made up too much. sorry for my long long comment.

I liked this video a lot. It's so weird how every country comes up with these "perfect" ideas that NO ONE can reach. It's maddening! We're all created differently and we're all beautiful! LOVE YOURSELVES PEOPLE!!!!
I really don't like how Asian countries often prioritize pale skin as the beauty standard, especially since having tan skin is just a pigment thing and isn't unhealthy or old-looking at all. It's really just kind of colorist.
@jasminejohnson51308 жыл бұрын
Yeah its colourism but over there I guess its not considered an issue :/ I doubt there is a word for 'colourism'

The strangest comment I remember receiving back when I lived in Japan was when a girl picked up a strand of my hair from the floor and said: "it's goooold" ???????????
My sister used to have quite blond hair, so every time we went on holiday people would come up and compliment her hair and in some cases try to touch it

Egypt? I heard they do that a lot there. Also when you have dark hair and blue or green eyes.
When I was in Japan last year, everyone would comment about how white I was. I'm not albino, but yes, I'm very very fair. Also, I have wildly curly hair. That was the 2nd thing they mentioned. and thirdly, how skinny I was. or "smart" referring to a "perfect" figure. I also have a tall nose. I never took offence but how do you reply to something like that?! Obviously I stand out in a crowd of Japanese people so I understand their fascination. But in America, I'm made fun of because I'm so skinny and white. I don't care what people think of me...but it's funny how this whole thing works. Japanese are so beautiful so I wish they can accept their looks more :/
