Okay, Catherine was actually pretty hilarious as Mimete. Cute, hyper, ditzy, melodramatic, over-the-top. I actually like her a little better than Kira, although she was good as well. She pulls off the threatening, aggressive voice surprisingly well, considering she has a super-high, syrupy-sweet voice most of the time. Side note... man, her death was so cold and brutal. I personally prefer how it played out in CWI's dub with the "Ta-ta, Mimete" being rubbed in her face, but all the same... well, after how she did Eudial, she certainly deserved it.

Something crazy that I just noticed was how Mimette would disguise herself as a normal teenager undercover up until the pageant episode when she reveals herself after losing the votes. And then after, she would disguise herself with the red covering and yellow overcoat whenever she went under cover. It’s that kind of attention to detail that I appreciate.

Gosh... Catherine (Jean Grey)'s Mimete is pretty good. One of the more natural voices in the Cloverway dub. Kira's take on Mimete is also pretty good. Much younger than Catherine's but it works perfectly.

I liked all of the voices for mimete,but my favorite voice actress for her is catherine from the cloverway dub version of sailor moon. She was really good as mimete,and she sounded more older than the other voices for her. Kira buckland's voice for mimete is also really good in the viz dub too. The Japanese voice actresses for her was okay,but just sounded a little babyish.Mimete is one of my favorite villain characters of sailor moon. I really felt sorry for her when she died in that episode in season three.

I'm torn between Catherine and Kira as Mimette. Both of their approaches fit the character really well. However, of the two Tellu's I vastly prefer the Cloverway VA... if only because her voice actually sounds different from Mimette and the other Witches (Excluding Eudial whose voice I'd say was the most distinct of the new cast.) They really should have tried to find more distinct tones and ranges for the final three witches, especially considering they each really only have one episode to show off.

I like Kira Buckland's voice the best - she gave Mimette a very sweet voice (although nowhere near as baby-ish sounding as the Japanese voices, thank goodness) but she also nailed that bitchy conniving side of her character and the idea of putting on a lower register for her more threatening scenes was actually quite clever. :) I'll give Catherine Disher credit for putting effort into her take but I honestly think her voice would've worked better for Eudial.

Alex Calhoun-Davis i think Catherine has a little more menace to her. Mimete's voice actresses are all good, and I think the original Japanese manages to mix the syrupy youthful voice with menace in a way that no one else fully delivers, but Catherine keeps the menace at the cost of youth, so she works very well as a villain. Kira loses some of the menace to be more youthful.

I think Catherine nails how fake and sycophantic Mimete is. Even though she sounds older than her Japanese VA, you can imagine her as a woman pushing 30 who uses a cutesy demeanor to make people underestimate her - which is exactly what the character did.

Mika Kanai was a little too high and annoying, but she was the first. Yuki Nagaku was the perfect mix of "hyper school girl and sociopathic witch looking to gain hosts for the Daimons". Buckland is kawaii, but let's just say I'm more excited for Tellu's voice comparison, and that little clip with her "pulling the plug" on Mimete has got me excited.

Kira uses her high pitched voice (which she also used for Chou-Chou from Mugen Souls, and Madoka Kyouno from Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne), rather than the low pitched voice she used for Umi from Love Live and 2B from Nier Automata (who she also cosplayed as in the picture). On a side note, I think she would've been a better choice for Selkie from Fire Emblem Fates, rather than Elizabeth Daily, who made her sound like she had asthma, rather than an energetic type. Heck, if Nintendo should do a Director's Cut version of the game, Kira should be cast as Selkie and maybe an Avatar voice option (the latter using her lower pitched voice).

Tellu's voice is so much better in the DIC, it actually fits her character way more than what she actually gets in the Viz dub. I think I prefer Mimete's Viz slightly more, but then again the only thing wrong with the DIC version is as usual the performance is just inconsistent.

Neo-Xgray87 I blame the fact (or so I read.) that they had to rush the CWi dub to get it on the air. If that had not been the case maybe Terri Hawkes and Karen Bernstein to name a few may have been able to come back and there would have been more consistency. At least the DiC half of the dub was consistent with the attack names and what not.
