For those of you who did not understand how she used the calculations for the extra fabric, she does explain it in the video. When you get to the part where she is going to cut it out, she then tells you how to use the calculations to find out how much yardage you are going to need. As for trying it on, the thumbnail shows you how the skirt looks when she has it on. She even put it together as a full outfit, I think that is better, with the styling, rather than her just trying it on!

Hi sweetie you may really want to think about making tutorials for the plus sized woman as well. It may open up a whole new market for you plus We are know to be quite picky with our garments (at least the well dresses ones of us) so making our own would be the best option...... All of these patterns are made in plus and curvy girl sizes but when you’re sewing, unless you have a plus sized model willing to work with you and purchase her own fabric, it just becomes an added expense to pay the model OR a loss of fabric because you can’t fit it yourself. I have a good amount of plus clothes that I’ve made for shows that are just sitting because of that exact reason.
