You can manually sew through the zipper once you get to the teeth but has to be done slowly.

Janet Johnson Slow the play back speed. Makes it easier to see.........You can see that the tiny piece of fabric [ where it was clipped] she is stitching down extends a tad below zipper stopper. Also using the zipper foot allows for the zipper NOT to get caught while sewing!😊

Z'Nycé London Thanks for the suggestion. I noticed that too. My question was referring to the last step of the collar being stitched on. At both the very beginning and the very end of this seam/topstitch section, the top ends of the zipper teeth have to be sewn over and enclosed in the seam allowance. Maybe it’s not too difficult since the zipper is open and you’re only sewing through one side of it at the beginning of the seam, and the other side of it at the end of the seam.

For those that don’t know if your using Stretch fabrics like she did in the tutorial if you need to use a Stretch stitch or a Serger

No, not necessary for this project actually. You can use a normal needle and straight stitch as I did.
