You are DEFINITELY pulling off that hat! I think it looks great on you! The wool in the mitts will start to felt and they won't be quite as huge and puffy. I LOVE my thrummed mittens. My hands don't get cold at all. I wear mine all of the time in the winter on my walks.

The traffic cone Musselburgh hat is soooo good!! I LOVE that colour on you honestly. Thanks for inspiring me: I want to order from Mudpunch and somehow get to the Wool Emporium in Montebello! Ok.. 1 - the orange hat... 💯 AWESOMENESS. Serge agrees also. 2 - SORRY, not a fan of those mitts. My vote is to use the yarn for something else. Maybe another cowl? 3 - Yay on the return of the blog. I've told you this before, I love your writing. So, definitely looking forward to this. 4 - Short trips better include another weekend with us again in the TI!! Of course, I'll try to hit you up in C-Town this summer.

Thrummed mittens are ridiculous.....until you wear them a few times. The thrums settle down and they are the warmest, coziest mittens ever. I'm a spinner too, so when I make them, I don't use thrums, but I carry a strand of roving instead. Good luck!

👍orange hat. If you soak your mitts the thrums will compress. May settle the size difference a bit. Cheers.
