I think your right in that they have sat him down and explained the situation. He seemed pretty happy on the sideline when he made his big play, didn't seem like he was making a point or showing attitude to say look at me. He just seemed genuinely happy. I think he realises they have his best intentions in mind.

Mims is not only a great receiver but he is also a great blocker for the running and passing game. It's nonsense that any receiver who has been learning the route tree since age 8 is not a great route runner. Besides route running doesn't beat the ability to beat and then STACK a DB off the line of scrimmage rendering the DB helpless a la Antonio Brown.

If Mims doesn't fit Saleh's system, how does Cory Davis fit? Physically, they are nearly identical, with Mims somewhat faster.

To me, at this point, the Jets are too far gone and they need a total overhaul. Woody needs to get out of town, this has been too much and the disfunction is now inbed with this franchise

So JD drafted a player for a coach he knew would not be the coach in the end. Common sense says draft the best player in the draft that could be used in many different ways. A great example would be Adams he could play both sides, CB and even maybe in this defense lb on some snaps. Saying that its bullshit that Mimms does not fit the package and its stupidity on RS part. Right now Mimms can not be any worse then who is on the field. This is R.S should not be a head coach along with M.L because they have no idea how to coach. Right now the young guys are doing their best to prove they are worth a trade while the older guys are just collecting a pay check. An example would be CJ Mosley he playes 95 percent of the snaps and has what 8 tackles. Last game he had four missed tackles. Another is Van Rotten who is a human turn style. When a team sucks as bad as this you play everyone including The Waterboy. So I predict that Mimms, Crowder and Maye will be traded by the dead line . I also predict this team is going to crumble and players will start to turn on the team and each other.

Another point about last year's draft :even though Douglas was the GM, Gase was considered his equal in the organization and was able to FORCE Douglas to pick his guys.
